xUnknown Posted September 14, 2014 Report Share Posted September 14, 2014 Please can you do something with your damage system when i put 9 rounds of 7.62 into a guy he shouldn't just stand there and kill me. 3 times i have been fully geared now with everything i need to start a base and i get killed by a noob with a pistol from about 150m away. it is getting frustrating. These servers are test servers. Part of the testing is seeing how much strain the mod puts on a server and how it effects game play. Trust me, I know it's frustrating. I've been throwing my hands up in frustration over loot containers not opening up lol. Every other person I come across is moonwalking or teleporting. =P I noticed some of the servers have dropped their player limit, which I think is a good idea. Currently, things don't seem to run so smooth when there's about 40+ people on. The one I've been playing has even been rough with a count in the lower 30s. We're still in Alpha, and CLOSED alpha at that. The devs have only begun releasing patches. Once some things get straightened out and more servers start opening up and there's less people hammering them to get in, things should get a bit smoother. Yeah i get what you mean been playing Breaking Point for last 6months and its had it bad stages with dsync etc But damage should be alterd as is just normal arma damage system 1 or 2 shots in critical mass should put as guy to sleep, but i put around 9 rounds into his critical mass and he just stood there killed me. I just think it should be a main priority to fix its a main feature of the game. They are of course working around the clock tweaking the alpha so the desync doesn't affect you but it takes time. However it would be nice to have some sort of indicator for the player who is getting damaged. For example in breaking point when you are shot your screen shakes and sometimes you you get blood splatter on the screen followed by the shakes and a loss of colour on your diplay. With Epoch you you are totally reliant on the HUD and when it comes to getting shot, dogs and grim reapers its hard to tell that you are taking damage until you notice it on the HUD. Are there any plans to implement damage indicators in epoch - ie shaking screen, blood, loss of display colour? Also would be great if audio could be added to dogs / animals / grim reapers that are causing you damage? eg dog making eating / biting noise or player making sounds that indicate pain? From my experience so far it´s much much less desync in Epoch but that could of course be server related on how much bases that are built and Tepee´s and so on. On a low ping official server. Make sure you are playing on offical servers. Go look at the server page up above and pick the lowest ping to you.
