[TUTORIAL]BEC Auto Restarts + Messages

Ok Hello all,

I have been working on my own server restart script with BEC so i decided since ive tested it and it works awesome!

 

i will share it

 

so its pretty simple... if you already have BEC of course

 

so what you need to do is first download SERVER RESTARTS.zip

 

now you have that download extract the files to your desktop..

 

now open up the restart.bat In you favourite editing software..

 

and change the paths in there to where the paths is that i wrote out..

 

now once you have that done save it now the editing is done!

 

now you want to take the scheduler.xml and replace the one you already have :)

 

then make a copy of the restart.bat and put one copy in the same folder as the scheduler.xml

 

and in the save folder as the bec.exe as for some reason it doesnt run if one of them is missing

I have an installer for BEC and it makes it much much easier, the BEC creator even supports it. :)

This didn't work before but I think you updated it (grave867). 

 

For everyone else the program installs everything needed to get  your test server up and running with BEC (or your live-server if you are hosting it).  It makes two test messages that you define when running the program.  Then it setups a nice schedule of restarts and warning messages.  Your first two defined messages will be set to broadcast every 6 minutes after BEC logins and starts.

 

You can easily modify the scheduler.xml to your own custom messages or times.  The format of the XML is current to BEC's new scheduler style (format).
