humanity uptick?

Hi,

 

I seem to remember this has been discussed in other threads, but I've never noticed a definitive answer.

 

1.0.2 changelog says:

 

[REMOVED] Automatic humanity uptick if lower than 2500.

 

but we definitive do have uptick (by walking, at least), so bandits are not happy, and frankly, I don't see a reason/philosopy for this mechanism - please enlighten me.

I looked through the source as well as I could, and could not find any code that would indicate humanity creeps up. 

 

I did find the old code that used to normalize humanity(both sides of the spectrum slowly ticked closer to 0). That has long been commented out. 

 

Are you sure you're not just gaining humanity from killing zombies? Gutting them will make it a neutral action.

Yes, I tested with a bandit on our server (by setting his humanity vaule via DB to +1, -1, -5001) and he gets humanity increases (not continously but in packets of magnitude \approx 100) every \approx minute just by running around.

 

I can't rule out, that some additional script (auto-refuel, custom debug monitor, auto-bloodpack, Sarge AI) is messing with this but I don't know where to start looking and from the other posts on the forum I concluded that this was a more widespread problem.

 

Thus I hope for a definite answer from the developers.
