Authentication timeout after 1-2 minutes play time?

Hey all,

Finally got in game today after a number of issues, now when I play after a short period of time I get auth timeout? I've tried a number of things such as reinstalling AO, using AO to load the game, removing the battle eye folder.

 

Anything else I can try?

try to update or reinstall your battleeye or verify your game through steam

Authentication timeouts are due to you running a different version than the server

Also get them if battleye failed to download with the Steam patch, which can happen if your running certain Anti-Virus apps detecting it as a false positive.

 

Usually you get Server rejected connection: bad version if your running an incompatible version.

Are you constantly getting to a gray screen after said 1-2 minute? 

 

 

Try doing the following: 

 

1.) Once logged into the server, hold down [Left Ctrl] key and press [Numpad Minus]

2.) Then type: flush

 

This apparently causes the server to try and refresh and verify your session, which is what it sounds like you are having an issue with.
