Custom Deathscreen sound 1.0.5.1 help

im trying to use a custom death screen with sounds using this guide

now i have the image working but the sound wont play any ideas?

(on the guide i followed had this "Now find and remove all lines with "fadeSound" - so we can hear our custom sound."

that caused me to stay on the loading screen and i wouldn't spawn ingame)

I'm having the same issue, if you're going by the http://opendayz.net/...nd-sound.18718/ guide then I can tell you that in your player_death.sqf you need to delete all lines that have fadesound in it. Since you now have a count down in the death screen vs the ability to hit escape and abort out I think the length of your sound file has to match the count down timer precisely. I remember a few weeks ago reading something about having a timer to auto kick a dead player back to lobby and that sound files had to match the length of the count down to have music upon death. Seems weird that it would be the case, I'm gonna go back later today and try doing just that. Other than that, I can tell you that my script matches the http://opendayz.net/...nd-sound.18718/ method perfectly and what is happening with my server (where it use to work perfectly with 1.0.4.2) it is now making a quick loud screech when it loads into the death screen and that's it for sound, so I know it is attempting to play the .ogg but it's not working properly, which leads me back to the possibility of not having the length sync'd properly. My death wallpaper comes up just fine.
