jamastiene
Great idea! I have 3 questions: 1. Will this script work for Panthera and/or Namalsk? 2. How do I configure the light colors for light poles in bases? I want to use RGB values 167, 0, 255 for lights added to bases (Black light), but I noticed that the RGB values listed on the Epochmod Wiki are different than what I'm used to seeing for RGB values 3. Is there any way to light up only hospitals as far as the rest of the lights go?
Guest
This is pretty much dead from what I can gather. I can confirm it DEFINITELY doesn't work on Namalsk. This is not Axeman or the Epoch devs' fault, but rather the guy who created Namalsk as he's used custom models without classnames for his street lights. On my server I've had to go in and manually place streetlights everywhere there's already a model for one, and in additional places. VERY disappointing :(
axeman
Is still going, granted I have been a bit busy with other work and general life but have released a test update for server owners to try. The classname issue is the same on all maps as the lights are map objects, similar to rocks. The only other way to switch them on is with the config file. Arma treats lights as their own special entity, probably due to the limitation on light sources. If you can give me a list of model names, ending in .p3d, I will add the Namalsk lights for you. Ooooh, hadn't seen that thread :O Glad to hear you're still at it :) From what I can tell, the author of Namalsk created custom variants of lampa_sidl and lampa_vysoka, entitled v_lampa_sidl.p3d and tlampa_vysoka.p3d, respectively. Had no joy myself attempting to either a) switch them on, or even b) pull their position using nearestObjects (nearEntities works fine). Also, adding an ASC bulb into the appropriate position doesn't work, due to the fact its lightspill is obscured by the opaque model. Haven't looked at your code yet to see what method you're using to light 'em up, but if there was any possibility of a properly lit Namalsk without me spending 3 months in the editor, that'd be awesome :P
