Way Too Much Loot

chipsandcheese

Question

I'm a friend of a server owner who is often busy / away during the day. He installed 1.0.2, followed by the same scripts we're used to (dance at fires, self bloodbag, journals on bodies & DZAI) and everything seemed fine but we've since noticed that there is 2x or 3x the amount of loot we're used to from before that patch. Plus the previously rarer items are now as common as anything else. Large gunbags, fuel pumps and GPS for example are as easy to find as Alice packs. This kind of thing will only make us all bored quicker.

I have access to the database but am new to all this and want to take tentative steps. Where can I access building loot tables? I've been looking for a while and understand that it's a little more difficult to access in Epoch. I want to check that this matches up with the values in the github files.

Thanks in advance

PS: Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

After realising where config.cpp was located (inside the dayzcode.pbo), I've noticed all the stuff I mentioned earlier is at 0.01 chance of spawning, a.k.a. 1%. When 1.0.1.5 was installed, no-one ever found a fuel pump on this server, nor stuff like NVGs & rangefinders in the building loot. This is on a populated server with regular players. Was this normal? I'm beginning to think there may have been something blocking them spawning before. But with the scripts we have, I have no clue on what that could have been, if even possible.

Surely seeing stuff like 6 large gunbags in a couple of hours travelling is a bit much? Is it normal?

Stumped on where to potentially fix the amount of loot spawning too, there are often 2 or 3 of the same item on top of each other, for example backpacks, food, weapons, toolbelt gear.

This is a guide on how to edit them in the normal DayZ mod, I'm guessing it's the same way for Epoch.

Yeah thanks, already been looking there.

Stumped on how to combat the rare stuff appearing so commonly and the piles & piles of loot.
