Help playing DayZ/Epoch for color blind

One of my buddies is color blind and is having trouble seeing the status icons on the lower right, is there a way to modify the icons to contrasting colors so they are easier for him to see?

well maybe they will change icons in new patch, lot of mods have their custom icons, not sure if you can change it from client

I don't think its possible from client because a server scans pbos to make sure nothing is changed and if it doesn't match it will kick you. So you will have to have the server change it for you but I doubt any server owner will do this as it affects everyone. You could try changing some options on your monitor to help with the issue i believe(only if you have a good one).

Luckily I run a few of my own servers, I found a few files that reference setting colors on the icons so I'll look into creating a user menu option in game that lets you select high contrast colors or something.
