  1. those files aren't meant to be drag and drop replace, you're supposed to use them as an example to edit your existing files.

Hey there, great job on updating the script.  I am currently having a problem though.  Mission Ai spawn just fine and work perfectly and seem to "Complete" as intended.  My issue is, while testing my server and leaving it online for 10+ hours, the missions that weren't done by players despawn due to inactivity, as intended as well, but the AI do not.  After looking at my map with admin tools, I can see a dozen or more groups of Ai spread across the map.  I am also having an issue where tons of zombies spawn, making it very very difficult to do anything.  I tested this by disabling my antihack (Infistar) and seems to have fixed the issue.. At least what I could see so far.  Not so many zombies and despawned missions are clear of Ai.  My question is, is there anything I need to add/removed from my AH to fix the issue?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Ive tried everything I could think of.  The only currency that seems to work is when I use the advanced trader. It keeps track of money from purchases and removes currency when I buy items, but only from the advanced trader option.  When I use the default trade menu, I can buy anything I want, even though it says 0 currency. I can sell, still says zero, though if I try to store cash in a vehicle or give to player, says I dont have any..

I'm not sure if it's this script, the single currency or something else conflicting.  Ive done all the steps and was actually working great.. then I noticed after installing a set of scripts,it stopped.  The coins displayed to players said 0. They were able to buy and sell all they wanted, without coins.  Today I was messing with it and got Advance trader to add up coins from selling items as well as subtract coins when buying items.  When testing the normal vendor menu, its still not displaying any changes in the coins when buying or selling.  The Advanced trader wouldnt allow me to buy something if I didnt have the money even though the normal vendor still did... Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I read  a post about someone adding DLLs from your github.  Could that be the problem? I never installed those, I dont remember seeing anything about them in the instructions.  Also, I never made any changes to my Database when doing these scripts, is that somethign I need to do?

  5. I spoke too soon.  After selling a few items, it seemed to be working.  I was able to get a little over 5.5k on there... Then I tested out selling an suv, didnt register the new funds, still said 5.5k.  I bought a car for 5k, the car showed up, funds stayed the same.  I relogged, not rebooted the server. Hopped on, currency said zero again.  Sold the car I just purchased, still zero.  These are the mods I installed after the single currency:

    Advnace Trading

    Self Blood Bag

    Macas Safe Zone

    Infistar AH

    Macas Right Click Menu

    Vehicle Locator and Key identifier

     

    I deleted my characters in the database and removed the old compiles.sqf from the init since I had the same one but custom being called.

    Im wondering if deleting my old character from the DB was the cause of it working for a short time.

     

    I posted my RPT file a few posts ago... Any help would be greatly appreciated

     

    EIDT: I just disabled Infistar and still no luck.

Hey there.  Great script.  I had it running perfect for a few hours.  Starting a new server, ran a few for about a year, then took time off due to family stuff.  Since I installed a few scripts, the currency wont show. Just says ZERO.  I can still buy things and sell, but always says ZERO. I thought maybe the money was still there, just had a display issue.  I tried to transfer to vehicles, no go.  I've restarted the server, checked back the scripts I did do, nothing.  I've iinstalled Infistar, Advanced Trader (Currency still worked after this one), Macas Right Click menu, Locate Vehicle on map and self bb. Everything else works now, except the currency.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. No zombies is the best news. Epoch needed to change it up . Zombies have been over done. 

     

     

    I disagree, a ton of players including myself starting playing dayz because of it being a zombie survival game.  The reason I moved to epoch was because it took dayz and made it better, adding things to t he game that I'm interested in.  If I wanted to play a game where you build and just kill each other, theres several out there, like rust.

All opinions really.  I have safe zones on my servers, though I don't like them.  My players wanted them so I added them.  A lot of what's been done to my servers was per players request.  I am however starting a hardcore tavi server.  No save zones, 1st person only, no starting gear and so on.  Its a custom map, custom addons, scripts and so on.  Should be done soon enough.  That server will have its own launcher so players can download and update the current custom mods with ease.

  9. I beg to differ ;) been hosting with them for months with no big problems at all and there always happy to help when they eventually reply

     

    Stick with them a little longer..I've been with them 9 months.  When I first started with them, the support tickets only took a few hours up to half a day... My last ticket took 3 days for them to reply.  Since then, my servers have gone to complete shit.. Today I have had nothing but problems with them.  I'm seriously about to move hosts, I've had just about as much as I can take... And I'm a really understanding, patient person.

Most of the time, it's good to keep the message here and possibly what you did to solve the issue.  People come to the forums for the same problem, to look for a fix for their current problem.  Forums are awesome like that, as long as everyone keeps the requested help and possible fix for the problem on there.  If they were all removed like this, forums wouldn't be so useful =)

  11. That's one thing I really like about opendayz.net.  They're pretty strict about making sure the posts are in the correct area.  Isnt this area meant for released scripts and the script help section for these posts?  Just seems like this area is getting filled with more help requests than actual scripts.

    Yeah, when I first started my server, I tried a few of the popular packs.. I had no idea what I was doing.  No matter what I did, there was always something broken.  So what I did after a few weeks of having a server was start over and install one script at a time.. Test it, make sure EVERYTHING was working, then move on to the next script.  I've been running my server for about 7 months now and I have to say it's gotten much easier and I'm really happy I forced myself to learn it.  Relying on packs is really not a great way to run a server.

The ONLYway I was able to combat this was to make it so the vehicles that CAN tow, cannot be towed.  I have cargo trucks, tractors and the airplane tow vehicle as vehicles that can tow,  but they cannot be towed themselves.  It sucks, but having players chain the vehicles caused nothing but problems.  They'd abuse the system, then call for an Admin when one of their chained vehicles vanishes  and goes back to it's original location.  Not worth the hassle.  But anyways, that's how I keep it under control.
