  1. It depends on the server you play on but I usually find its pointless storing choppers at bases regardless of how much protection you put in place.

People find joy in destroying other people's property if they can't steal them (whether your are online or not).

I find it's safer just to sell them at a nearby trader, bank the cash and then withdraw the cash and buy a chopper back when you need it. Yes you lose money due to trader tax but it's better than losing choppers over and over again.

  2. I have played on a server that has indestructible bases, except for the doors.  Very nice balance.  Puts a premium on how many doors you can string together for protection, yet still allows for raiding.

I imagine this could easily be abused where you could build an impenetrable base.

Just have an outer wall with doors and then an inner wall with no doors.

You just treat some of the inner walls as "doors" and move them when you need too.

A pain, but yeah the base becomes impenetrable.

  3. Is there a way server side to just delete UAV's when they spawn when invoked by the client side code?

Ie: via a constant loop to check for UAV's

Frustrating this code is run client side....and yes it turns PvP servers into PvE focused servers instead.

A hotfix would be great but a workaround is needed for now.

  4. Another feedback thread or discussion? This new way of spawning antagonists will be refined and made more configurable.

Any chance of a hotfix or do you think it will be a next release implementation?  :)

  5. these new features are making me consider a move to another game, and my gaming buddies are saying the same since this latest update.

I've said a thousand times that it's good to have the content as long as server owners can have total control over which content he or she wants activated. Toggle woggle.

    Well said and I agree.

For me, the code doesn't represent an "anti-camping" feature anyway. It just runs in a constant loop with some minor adjustments based on soiled/shots fired etc.

No point in being a sniper anymore.

As both an active player and PVP server admin, this has limited the playability of the game for me.

There really should be the option to turn it down or remove it for PVP servers.

It's disappointing the devs couldn't see this latest update being a potential problem.
