  1. I like this idea, It will make the download a bit larger but we all have broadband...

     

    Unless it's optional... then it's soley up to the player. But making it available there in front of you (where it's more visible) will help people find it and know it's compatible. As for permissions... I'm sure the maps devs would jump at the chance to be featured with this mod. 

  2. It's an attempt to rebrand our hard work.  Talentless parasites.

    The "owner" streaming didn't even know what weapons were from Epoch or whatever Add-on they're launching with it. 

    Oh and their desync on a 50 player server was laughable. Get rekt.

    I suggest not supporting anything to do with it or that community, unless you want to see a3 Epoch turn into the Pay2Win shit show that Dayz Epoch became.

    I foresee a day when there won't be any quality servers available to play Epoch on; suffering the incomprehensible damage of shit like this..  If this day comes, I will have no choice but to take my ball and go play elsewhere.

     

    Wont find me on there. This mod (Epoch) has everything I need right now. Once we get some of the intended features in that you guys are working on, this will be the only mod anyone will need. 

  3. You do realise people learn from their mistakes?

    If you have pro active admins and know how to read logs then you shouldn't need this. Unless the ban was recent.

     

    Not sure what world you live in... but the majority of people do NOT learn from their mistakes. This coming from a guy who deals with people making mistakes on a daily basis.

  4. I mentioned this in my server listing/recruitment thread and I think it could be something that's worth being discussed here and potentially happen if the devs agree. We run a Bornholm server and we find a lot of people join it and disconnect because they don't have the map. I had this happen when I first ran into this map (never hearing about it) and joined a Wasteland server. I went and tracked the map down on Armaholic and was blown away by how great it was. 

     

    Why not have a map pack or include the supported maps directly WITH the download of the mod? This way, everyone can get the maps and not be seeking them all out later (wondering how compatible they are with the mod). 

     

    You could have them zipped with the mod where extracting the zip would put them all in the ArmA 3 folder, or separate as an optional map pack listed on the downloads page and the devs of those maps could work with you to ensure that they stay up to date on them and fix any compatibility issues. If they don't, cut them from the supported list and keep doing what you're doing. ;)

    Can this be explained? If I wanted say, 3 hours of daylight and one hour of night in a 4 hour restart period... what would I use and how exactly should it look? The instructions for this are rather confusing.

     

     

    Hello fellow survivors,

     

    I am trying to help a friend set up his server.

     

    We are trying remove the choppers DLC flight controls changed back to arma controls.

     

    He does not have an option in server config files to do this.

     

    He has changed his pbo files and can't seem to find the correct unpacker to complete this process.

     

    I am hoping someone has an easy fix for this.

    Probably doesn't help you... but my server runs the ArmA controls and not the new DLC flight controls. We didn't change anything to the files, configs, or by server controls.

  6. I have been in this community a long time and never ever have I seen such a bunch of horse shit. You guys all fighting over a mod is stupid VBrawl what has gotten into you look at your team and see who has steered you down this path of clashing with the community I loved Epoch but its core foundation is gone. Wish all luck I will leave my server up until the payment runs out or you all sort the bull shit.

     

    Umm, what exactly are you referring to? I haven't seen much in the way of dev abuse here. Go check out the Breaking Point forums... then you'll see admins and devs bad mouthing community members. It's why I don't even want to play it anymore.

  7. when your group is full, u can upgrade, first step 300 krypto for 2 more players...

     

    You can't increase the size until you max the players out too. Each time it maxes out, you'll be given the option in the Group Menu to upgrade the number of slots. Each time, costing more money.

    at this point i have no ideas how to help you. sorry :/

     

    Forget the menu... I'd just be happy with playing at this point. I can't even load into the map to play. I immediately get the variable error when loading in. Same with a couple of my guys. They can't play either.

    I took out the information where it states, "*I EDITED THIS*". But otherwise, it shows the plugin starting and doing some nonsense... before and after I've been kicked (I am Shields). Other players can connect just fine. Another member or two of my group also get this same problem.
  11. are you sure the WatchDog Plugin is running ?

    Tt has to be running because the server changes the publicvariable.txt on startup and the WatchDog plugin has to reload the file so you don't get kicked

     

    I have no means of seeing if WatchDog is running since it boots me off. It's installed and set up correctly per the host. This is a very stupid and frustrating system to get the damn mod working on the server. I shouldn't need to spend an hour deleting this, tweaking that, and trying everything to get it going. I should upload files, set config settings, and go.

    My server is running on a Root so I can't really help with hosted servers.

     

    Well mine reads similar to that. 

     

    It's not about the BE path and the running watchdog...failure still active!

    The only way at the moment is to delete the publicvariable.txt till the dev-team create an finally fix...

     

    That's not a fix. I removed it, and still got the same error.

  13. Mmm... The military complex we are settled in is not too big, it's the one located in Athira, and there are certain hot spots where we can't build. I'm still trying to figure out the reason.

     

    Had this happen on the server we played on... in the same exact location. Seems to me that the build range is NOT 300m but much closer. I had to push the building item away from me and keep inside the zone to build. Otherwise I got the build restriction message.
