  1. You could always take a look at us (the Warlords). We're a tactical realism group that takes a more laid back approach to TR. We understand real life comes first and cater to that thinking as much as we can. Our full recruitment message and server info can be found here:

     

     

    We have guys from the US and overseas as well. Server is based in the US.

  2. This map far exceeds the scope and quality of both Altis and Stratis. It's absolutely AMAZING. runs this map and we have found a few issues with it which should already have been reported to the map Dev (or so I've been told):

     

    - Trees can not be cut down for wood

    - No water barrels on the map and reservoirs can not be used as a water source either (with the loot spawns so high now with the new patch, the soda should counterbalance this) 

    - Some vehicle spawns will overlap and spawn vehicles on top of each other causing damage (I've been manually moving overlapping vehicles away and spreading them out on the map)

    - ArmA 3 buildings spawn loot, ArmA 2/Day Z buildings do not (this was found to not be a huge issue with the amount of spawns now in-game and enough ArmA 3 buildings available)

    - ATM's while present, do nothing

     

    I've been spawning in wood and putting it into the vendors to combat the tree problem. It'll be nice when I don't need to do that any more. Our server changed nothing and we have the three spawn points working just fine. Not sure why some servers have the issue with them. I'd love to see the map creator join this dev team and put some solid additional work into the map for the community. It truly is the best map for Epoch or any mod for that matter. Love the setting, the feel, the terrain, everything. 

  3. I could see and would hope to see backpacks/clothing as a sellable item. They could hardcode it so fanny packs are not able to be sold along with the Dan clothing. Would be nice to be able to shop around and find a decent Carryall or camo uniform.

  4. any player that hasnt logged in within 30 days is deleted

    any vehicle not touched within 30 days is deleted

    any buildable not touched within 30 days is deleted

     

    These are edited values, the vanilla values make much more sense.

     

    Does this apply to the maintaining of the jammer? Or regardless does it delete after 30 days?

  5. I've been experiencing the unfortunate end of this for well over a year, sometimes you have to just laugh.

     

    From a legal standpoint... have you guys decided to go after these tools that are stealing your mod work? I imagine that you have a pretty solid case with Infistar and Overpoch... and I would imagine the community would help donate towards the expenses of having legal representation. 

  6. Wow so much paranoia in this thread.  DRM crack?  Revive hack?  You are joking right?

     

    You guys need to find some friends to play with so you can experience what its like to get revived, because it looks exactly like this. 

     

    Also, I have accidentally revived an enemy before.  That ended pretty badly too lol.

     

    Like I said, the problem in the video is he is instantly standing. When I've been revived, I did the roll over and stood up. Not sure why that part would be cut from the video.

  7. Please not the damn key system again. I despised  that system in overpoch. You'd have safes full of keys and a notepad with about 100 different codes, some circled and others crossed out as  alot of vehicles would get replaced by admins after bugs occurred and so forth. It was a clusterfuck system and took too much maintenance for what it was. I like the vehicle saving to group ID, we just need to make it so that if the vehicle is within the group ID's plot pole range, it becomes a perm-lock. Outside of it, it remains 30 minutes.

     

    bam. problem solved. and no stupid fucking keys to do it.

     

    I'd agree to that. But we use 60 minutes as opposed to 30. Being within the range of the jammer would be nice. Doesn't make a bit of sense from a realism standpoint, but it's more ideal than keys everywhere.

  8. I would love, though, if all traders shared the same loot so it doesn't matter which trader you access, the trader sells the same

     

    Do NOT want. I specifically sell some items as far from my base as possible, so they wont be used on my base. Or if they want them, they'll need to travel farther. The point of the traders is to sell what they receive and make you travel to find the items.

  9. Long story short, I died and respawned before a server restart (some 10 minutes before). When the server restarted it brought me back to the spawn zone as a fresh spawn again and I was instantly removed from an 8 or 10 person group (as the leader). I was unable to close down the old group, but could create a new one with the Group Menu.

     

    If I create a new one, everyone's icons show up but they don't show up in the group menu. If they leave the old group it shuts down my new group and everyone loses icons. 

     

    Some members can not see the old group menu (it shows create group for them)... if they create a group and leave it, it shuts down our group for everyone (new and old). 

     

    Somewhere the group is bugged and overlapped. I can't invite people if they show in the old group and sometimes can't invite unless they create their own group and leave it first if they show the create group screen.

  10. Yup if someone in group dc's whilst they are dead it bugs out the group.

     

    We've had to recreate our group several times so far.

     

    Then that must be the trigger. We're now having a tough time re-creating the group because it thinks the people are still grouped. I'll run to the bug forum and create a thread there.

  11. I'm having an issue where I am the group leader for some 8 or 10 people. I crashed and died in freak gasoline fight accident (helicopter) right about 10 minutes before a restart. I got my stuff back, server restarted, and pushed me back to the spawn as a fresh spawn again. I returned to my buddy who collected my stuff the first time and got my gear back. Cool. Unfortunately I soon noticed I was not seeing his group icon. He wasn't seeing mine either.

     

    I go to the group menu and it's blank asking me to spend money on a new group. But, I show up in the other group to the other members as the leader. With only one other Mod, I'm waiting to catch him online to boot me, and re-invite me (if that's even possible).

     

    Can I do something to fix this? I'm the admin for the server so I do have access to the database. I've gone through about 3 or 4 restarts now and it's not automatically fixed me.

     

    I'm a bit concerned that the base will be compromised if I can't get back into this group. So far even though I don't show grouped via icon, we all share the base permissions still.

     

    Any ideas?

  12. i would love to check that map . If you can send me the ip of that server (in private message if you want) , i play with a group of 5-7 guys ( all new to Epoch )

  13. the first thing i did was to find many metal scrap and build a frequency jammer. After that, i made the wall and i also upgraded them the way Primus Palus said . Now i'm all good, my base is finished. The only thing that scares me is that the base i made is inside a white warehouse which is very easy to be destroyed , but im planning to build a cinder wall inside it so i can protect it. Small steps at a time ;)

     

    P.S im pretty new on base building, next base will be from scratches, not some ready buildings.

     

    I played around with a few locations in Altis. Our server uses Bornholm (what I consider the best map for Epoch right now) and we found a great location for our base. Lots of potential in that map for some amazing bases. Just have to start small and work your way up.

  14. Yeah I no likey the "Ready" call out when I log.  I've never combat logged, but if I log out not knowing there is someone near....they sure know to look around now for an easy kill.   I also don't like that your avatar stands straight the heck up when yelling out "Ready"

     

    Question is...what is worse for a server, duping or combat logging?

     

    I'd rather have someone combat log than dupe. But we set our server for 30 seconds where the body will disappear. Takes longer than that to log out, and come back. So duping shouldn't be an issue.

  15. Including other maps is probably against EULA's from those map makers. They better stay clear of that, and have a good launcher that can grab the sources left and right to make it happen. Including is a big no-no.

     

    Not really. Most of the maps are available for use and distribution. As I said already, plenty of map makers would flock here to let them freely distribute the maps if it meant more people would be playing on it. What's the point of making a map, putting it out there, and having no one on it. I highly doubt they'd want that.
