DrScandalous
Someone posted something interesting in a local server forum that got me thinking... they were talking about how using a satchel charge to blow up a group of vehicles could generate an explosion from the vehicles that actually reaches further than a satchel charges normal destructive/safe detonation range. So it got me thinking... Scenario 1: Set a satchel charge next to a destructable cinder/metal door and trigger it. Doesn't destroy the door because it takes 2-4 satchels to destroy a door. Scenario 2: Set a satchel charge next to the same door + 2-3 vehicles and detonate. Would scenario 2 do MORE damage to the door than if you just used a single charge by itself? Or do vehicle explosions not do the same "kind" of damage that satchels/vehicle-based rounds do? And if they do, do different vehicles have different sized explosions? (aka: Lada vs. fuel truck) So far, it seems that the two ways to take down a door like this the most efficiently are by either using M134 rounds from an armored suv and/or by using satchel charges. Not sure if RPG rockets would even make a dent/be comparable to these two methods. Thoughts?
Mercules
Thoughts... Anything of equal to or more value than even a single Satchel Charge is 99% likely to be in a safe so you are more or less being a dick and blowing up someone combination lock for no real gain. I've blown open only one person's base and that was only because he had blocked off the firehall in Cherno. I got annoyed that the only military spawn in Cherno was locked up so I blew the doors and walls down and left all his crap alone. He moved after that.
