Snakeyes
I'm currently running Epoch servers for both Chernarus and Sauerland. Previously, when we played on vanilla DayZ servers we tried nearly all the maps. In retrospect I still like Chernarus the best overall. Since it is the original map used for DayZ, it seems the most polished and refined. I like the terrain and the scenery. Plenty of wooded areas, etc.
STENCHOVDETH
I have to say Napf, because the more I play on it the more I like it. I think it's the small details that make it a great map ie; Islands, forests, sweeping grasslands, highlands, industrial zones, rural cottages,sea-side villages, docklands. It's just a really well thought out map. Chernarus would have to be second. STENCH FJack
Snakeyes
I watched a YouTube video this morning for the Napf map. The guy was doing a flyover of Napf in a Chinook to explore it from the air. I was impressed with the variety that this map offers.
Grinchen
I really like Namalsk the most, but running with Vilayer makes that a problem. And there seem to be to few players who likes it aswell. My second favourite map have to be Napf.
Eegore
Lingor. Has plenty of structural and geographical variety. People actually use boats to go places, and there are 3 major airfields with 5 airstrips (6 if you use the updated 1.5 map) Only a few buildings are non-enterable. MrGrimm
I have to say Namalsk...Great PVP map. Dealing with Cold Weather makes it more of a challenge. The EVR storms are bad ass.....If only more people played it or would atleast try it :)
Snakeyes
I played on a Namalsk server for awhile. I liked the change at the time. It was really different.
BetterDeadThanZed
Napf is by far my favorites. New buildings, most buildings are lootable, very well designed. I've been hard pressed to find anything to enhance while looking at the map in the editor. I'd love to see A3 Epoch on this map! :) VentZer0 and SapioiT

TheBritishNinja
I like all of the German based maps like Napf and Sauerland. They offer huge size, an awesome landscape, huge, more lively cities, better country and roads, and an awesome atmosphere. I hope at some point Celle is also made compatible with Epoch. Celle, although not as big as some other maps, it has a really good amount of custom objects like buildings, roads, and trees and it is very accurate compared to the real region, and it really offers an atmosphere offered by no other DayZ map. Quakeremfon
The apocalypse STARTED on Chernarus, and will end on Chernarus. :P Everytime i play on a different map i get homesick after a while and want to go back to Chernarus. So it's Chernarus for me.
TheBritishNinja
If you read the official story, it actually started on an Island off the coast of Chernarus. Possibly Utes. A scientist created a virus to brainwash people and make people change their minds about communism, and he realeased it. It worked, the Soviet Union collapsed and people changed Thier minds about communism. But, the virus mutated and turned people into angry, bloodthirsty, raging brain-dead psychos. The virus spread rapidly throughout the post soviet region and the rest of Europe. SapioiT

Eegore
Does anyone think a downloadable Epoch Map-Pack would be beneficial? Especially since DayZ Commander will have some limitations after the Gamespy shutdown. derpyhooves
Wesley
I am really liking Napf since our server has moved to it. has a lot of variety and attention to detail! SapioiT
lipemr
namalsk's good for the atmosphere, but has way to many structure bugs and there's something with it that makes everything lag as hell. Chernarus was the best before napf, it has all variety you would want, plenty space to basebuilding safely, well dispersed loot, etc.
Socks
Napf is probably the best I've seen for Epoch although I've recently returned to Chernarus and I'm really enjoying it.
Zombiegirl
Napf! All the way, I am so sick of Chernarus, I cant even look at it any longer. So much more diversified than any other map. VentZer0
krnja21
Napf is best by far, chernarus close second
Valdarok
What smaller maps are available for the epoch mod, I've played Chernarus, Napf, Lingor, Taviana, Sahrani, maybe a couple more that I can't remember off the top of my head. Are there any which you would say are more suited to a 30-35 player server with maybe only 1 town/city where loot must be contested, but offers a lot of farmland, country roads to camp away? FJack
I've played Arma on many maps and my favorite by far is Napf. It's really well made, seems like a plausible island and its huge which is essential for DayZ imo. Can't thank Momo enough for creating this masterpiece.
