Excessively long to hanging server authentication message on join.

Dayz 1.7.7.1 - Arma Patch 103718 - Epoch 1.0.3.1

Server will make you stare at a authentication message, sometimes a retry message for excessively long periods of time. 

 

Usually for me the initial time after a restart it will hang, leaving me to alt + f4 out and it working next time around.

 

Nothing huge for mods:

 

- Added some vehicles from arma

- Epoch Chenarus Mission System

- Sarge Ai

- Local to this form, building snap script

I was under the impression that the first login on a freshly started or restarted server has to go through the process and do some kind of check on all items in the database.  On a previous version I would need to start the login process, wait, bail out of the game and re-join.  I did this so that someone else joining the server wouldn't get hung up on this process and be able to get right in.

 

How big is your database, and does this only happen on the first login on a freshly started server?

You've got script errors, with what looks like SARGE AI? and something else.

Turn off all scripts that are giving you errors in that RPT and see if you can fix the problem, looks like a bad installation. SARGE AI works without error so youve definately done that wrong.

First login generally. Makes sense. 

 

The errors are from the "EMS" addon. Not 1.0.3.1 ready apparently, turned off I still get the same issues. 

 

Currently the newest issue is people being kicked to lobby on repeated joins. As a troubleshoot I ran a vanilla server pbo and mission file.

 

Database isn't very large. only a total of 8 players on it in total.

You have AI and custom mods? Its gonna take awhile to load in, and after a server restart if you load in to quick you'll sit at authenticating for awhile before it kicks you back to lobby and tells you to retry (at least for me).  It just takes awhile to restart unfortunately.

 

I think I see one error talking about not being able to find the SM2.sqf in the minor missions folder for the AI missions you installed. Without seeing how you installed it I can't be sure but I know on my server the "Missions" folder for the ai missions is capitalized, to differentiate it from the missions folder which is your root missions folder for your server. But Im just taking a shot in the dark on that one
