archamedes
I know that landmines are not currently persistent on epoch, mainly because they are placed using the default scroll wheel option. However it would be cool if you could place them using the build menu instead making them a persistent option. I use them mainly to protect my base from attackers. I know people will think its a bad idea because some people will abuse it and have minefields surrounding traders etc... but they can still do that anyway in a single server session. SWAT_BigBear
Metal & Wood spikes seem to be persistent. Try those :) TheStainlessSteelRat

Try those :) yes but last time I tried, you can place only 1 metal spike trap around your base. You can not have multiple as the limit is 225 or so meters. I think this limit around bases should be increased maybe up to 5 at least. Then one can have relatively secure area.
axeman
No reason why they couldn't be part of the base objects I don't think. So long as there is no need to 'activate' the mine, additional code would be required. Have not scripted any mine placement as yet. I have a draft antagonist, Salamanda, that could be bought from traders as a base guard, while you are away ? The attack is burning the player.
