Richie
By far the best is The Atlas: Guide to ArmA 3 Terrain Making https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/178033-the-atlas-guide-to-arma-3-terrain-making Do it over and over again, tweaking things as you go, eventully the penny drops and you know what does what, good luck, it's a steep learning curve. raymix
Trial and error, mate. There's fuck all documentation on the subject. My suggestion when you get to configs - copy over altis or stratis config and modify that as your base, they are cleaner and contains full list of configs unlike ones provided from tutorials edit: Also check out my workflow vid if you want to avoid buying L3DT like most guides suggest. This way you are not limited to single format and can import terrains from image files. Richie
Small steps is the best way, follow the Atlas guide and understand the process first is my advice. For real life data i used GlobalMapper but you'll get lost instantly if you jump straight onto it.
