Ammo disappears from clothes when you remove them and put them on again

Server I play on isn't vanilla. haven't tested it on vanilla so not sure if it is admin fuck-up (since server has handful of scripts) or recent bug of a mod.

First time noticed and reproduced when I had an SPMG in my hands with a mag loaded. I drag and droped the mag into my vest. I removed vest to the ground by right clicking and the put it on again, the magazine was gone. Same issue happens if you shovel around more magazines in your inventory for the gun that you have in hands, though harder to explain. But everytime I remove my vest or ghillie or backpack with a mag inside them and a same caliber gun in my hands and then put it back on, one mag disappears.

Not 100 percent certain but can not remember having issues in 0.3.4 patch.
