Night Time Rotation

I am wondering if someone could please explain how to make it so that there will be a night time rotation starting at dusk continuing into night time until the server restarts, but only every 3rd or 4th restart. So there would be 3 day to 1 night cycle for every 4 restarts. I have seen a few servers that have this down and would like to get it implemented into our server.

I think the hiveExt.ini just gets switched out between restarts with different time settings.

Any idea of this is automated via BEC, or?

you could cycle your hive.ini (the file that controls the time) after each restart.

 

here I use a .bat file to handle my server startup and rotating 7 different loading screens out of my mission folder (not mission.pbo)

this could easily be re written to rotate your hive.ini file for 3 day configs and one night config, or day-dusk-night-dawn-day config. the draw back is this will most likely be incompatible with Game Server Hosts (DayZ.st, HFB, ect)
