BE Filters for Linux

Hi all and thank for this wonderfull mod !

 

I have a problem with BE, who kicks me with public restriction 0. I think the problem is the BE Path in epochserver.ini

 

BattlEyePath = C:\BattlEye

 

On linux, wich syntax is correct ?

 

BattlEyePath = "/home/arma/.local/share/Arma 3/battleye", or /home/arma/.local/share/Arma\ 3/battleye or '/home/arma/.local/share/Arma 3/battleye'

 

I have the feeling Hive isn't connected to BE and it kicks me because hive can't send message to BE.

 

Any idea plz ?

Asuming your running BEC with wine maybe this will work

BattlEyePath = Z:\home\arma\Epoch_Server_0.3.0.2_b3\SC\BattlEye

Unfortunatly I use https://github.com/denisio/Arma3-Epoch-Linux-ServerIt's working very fine and I'd like to securize it :) It's the only thing who is a problem

The problem is not any pathing, the problem is exactly as you say, PublicVariable restriction, I can bet its a server version rejection.

 

Update ALL server side files including .so files (If they're available & presuming you're not using Wine)

Along with this, try posting your PublicVariable.log file here

Sorry swear i read BEC somewhere you still have to point to battleye of the epoch server not arma

Yes but my problem is the space between Arma and 3 wo is needed by configuration

And I've noticed that I was kicked when I used the admin panel. The admins must be whitlisted in BE filters ?

Think any of those should be good havent tried though but point it to '/home/arma/.local/share/Arma 3/sc/battleye'

No, I have made many tests and Battleye is working ONLY in /battleye directory. You can see that because beserver.cfg in /battleye is the only one to be renamed. Profiles parameter doesn't work in Linux. You can use it just for logging and .cfg reading. Btw, my scripts now seem to work, I don't know why ;) Is there a way to test it ?

Strange place btw to have your game files in your profile directory.

-BEPath probably isn't defined in his server startup line, that's why it uses the local directory as the fallback.

Problem is under Linux -profiles parameters doesn't work, only -name is working, and generates a directory in /.local/share/Arma 3/Other Profiles/ProfileName. Hard to adapt all the configurations correctly, but I think all is working for now.

If you followed the instructions to install on git it should be something like below in epochserver.ini

BattlEyePath = /home/steam/epoch/sc/battleye

Working just fine here so far.

-profiles on both Windows & Linux only place the RPT files & Profile files in that directory, -BEPath is what's used to designate the BattlEye Path to a specific directory whether absolute or relative.

Little question, all the files seem to work, except addweaponcargo.txt : 5 ""

 

and I still can spawn weapons and equip them as admin.

 

the addmagazinecargo.txt with 5 "" kicks me all the time.

Looks like epoch linux git is not using the latest epoch server files 0.3.0.2_b3

yes, but with 5"" I should be kicked all the time when I spawn a weapon no ? It's for testing only ;)

Not 100% sure still new to this but aren't you going to be kicked for every weapon that way?

I just set BattlEye = 0; on my prived server for fooling around with some friends.
