The reason I'm trying to do this is with the "load image into spawn" script as well. I know its a case of correct formatting but I just don't know how it should work, any help would be very much appreciated. ChickenPrism Posted March 6, 2015 Report Share Posted March 6, 2015 You should copy the code from my first spoiler and paste it into Notepad++, then save it as "loadout.sqf". Then put it in your mission file in a location of your choice. Past that, you can do it a couple different ways. You can either just call the loadout.sqf from your mission init.sqf and then players will be given the loadout automatically on spawn or respawn. Or you can do it a little fancier like I did a couple pages back with the crate placed in the spawn building. Pay close attention to the coords of the crate though, as it will vary from map to map. The ones I posted are for Bornholm I think. I tried both of these but with no luck. When I called from init.sqf no loadout was given. After multiple deaths I tried the box and now the server just sits on the map screen. maybe I placed the box in the wrong section of my mission.sqm? Darth_Rogue Posted March 7, 2015 Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 The only way I know of to get it to work on spawn AND respawn is to add the player crypto check as shown a couple pages ago. If you look at the code you've posted it shows on line 12 that it's meant for respawn events only, and there's really no way to do it for both other than adding a conditional check, which is where the crypto check comes in. (seriously)I wasn't using a spawn box so there was nothing for the new spawn to "grab". I didn't mind a fresh spawn not having anything. I felt like the limited gear was a 'reward' for coming back. I did however run into an anomaly that someone else mentioned. I started to post about it, but never implemented the script in the server so I didn't test it with more than one player.From memory, the anomaly was as follows:Fresh spawn: no gear1st respawn: gear (1x)2nd respawn: gear (2x)3rd respawn: gear (3x)4th respawn: gear (1x) === I think it was about here it reverted back.The really interesting thing was that the gear given was always random. For instance, if I was given a purple nurple on my first respawn, on my second I might have coke and a mocha. On third spawn it might be walk'n sons and a purple. Same with the food items. Darth_Rogue Posted March 7, 2015 Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 There again, if you implement the crypto check and add 100 crypto to the list of items given to the player as part of the respawn event, they will always only ever be able to get the loadout a single time per respawn. Adding the 'player RemoveEventHandler ["Respawn", 0]; (seen online 29 above) "resets" it so that the respawning player doesn't get multiple loadouts at once on subsequent respawns. I think that was added by another contributor well after the first release of this code, so that may account for the multiple loadouts given. I did not try the crypto=0 because I wasn't using a spawn box and thought that only applied to players trying to dupe lots of extra items from the box while in the spawn area.
