Food cooler

Don't even go there.

But it is though. It seems with every positive additional feature, they add a restrictive, ball and chain like feature.

Of course whether something is positive or not is in the eye of the beholder, hence why having game changing features adjustable for server owners is a must.

Nothing that the devs put in will make it easier for the player. The Devs will place in something new then scale it back to make things possible. The point of Epoch is to make things challenging. Either placing in AI at hardest difficulty or placing in so that you need to drink more often to tend to thirst.

 

If you have noticed, drinking and thirst came to a point where you don't pay attention to it. You may have a drink here and there to regain stamina, but you didn't need to carry around a bunch of drinks. Now that the devs have changed the stats on drinks, a person needs to have a drink in inventory in order to keep going. Mind you right now they are trying to find that sweet spot, where you are not always drinking, but you still need to keep the drinks. 

 

Same goes for the cooler. The whole point of the cooler is to implement a "food rotting" or disposal system. Meaning, it's easy enough to keep a small spot in your inventory for a food or drink here and there. Well seeing as it's easy, let's make it more difficult by implementing that specific food or drink can then go bad so you need to keep it good. This keeps a challenge to the game and allows players to have a goal. 

 

If you remember in A2 DayZ Epoch, nobody cared about the Zombies. They were an annoyance more than a challenge. Not the way a game should be. Shouldn't be that you just have to run away or slowly jog around the item that is suppose to challenge a player. The game in itself should be difficult.

 

Of coarse this is my own personal opinion and beliefs. I could be completely and utterly wrong in the matter.

You can't be wrong, there is no right or wrong, as it's about opinions and that's the reason why I have continually banged on about toggling settings.

The more tastes a single game can cater for, the more successful it will be.

Hell, some hardcore players might welcome sun exposure to be detrimental to their character's health. Others can't be arsed with that shit and play on a easier mode server.

There is nothing wrong with having the cooler in game to make sure food doesnt go bad but give it a benefit as well. Have it hold a good amount of food and drink kinda like a slot item in your inventory. A fanny pack that only holds food. (like a soft lunch bag) make it go where the anti vehicle weapons go if they are not going to be put into the game.

This is great. I want to store my sausage in a fanny pack.
