Was thinking how I would be apple to place rocks on the map in an area (Like on Origins) then make them mine-able using a tool - not decided yet. There will be different types of rock for each metal. Gold being very rare on the map and in dangerous locations.


Anyone able to help with such a script?

Hello, does anybody manage to mine rocks with the new upgrade 1.0.2.4 ?

Do you have any info on how this works, those theses rocks look special?

I tried on randoms rocks on top of hills with the sledgehammer/crawbar/hachet in hand, i got no special option.

Yes they look like black rocks with ore chunks sticking out of them. You will know what they look like when you see them.  I believe you need a sledgehammer?

Thanks for the info. I Just found 3 while playing yesterday. I will share my experience.

 

First of all, I found it without looking for it (as usual in Dayz...). And it is not always placed on top of a hill as I read somewhere.

The rock is a little bit taller then a player.

It seems that there is only 1 type of rock from which you can get 3 differents ores (iron, silver, gold).

 

You first need to destroy the rock with heavy artillery for a faster way. And then "salvage" the wrecks which will give you more ores if you are more then 1 player doing it.
