New Server Help

Hi,

 

I just purchased an Epoch server and due to the fact of time restraints and basic lack of knowledge.  I'd like to ask if there's some knowledgeable folks who might be able to join as an admin for awhile to help add some scripts/mods.

I could probaly help, but i just finished adding scripts  to my server. There is probaly more qualified people but they are probaly already running a server: I am not finished with mine but it is not much left so i would be glad to help where i can.

I don't mean to sound harsh but if you don't have the time or the knowledge to host the server then why are you?

 

For a start it all depends where your hosting as to how you have to set things up, dayz.st prob being the easiest and a dedicated box being the hardest.

 

I would advise you to go and have a look at http://opendayz.net/#dayz-arma-scripting-editing.14 as there are a lot of scripts on them boards that explain how to install them with step by step guides.

Good point.  But I am the one who was talked into paying for the server.  My 14 year old son wanted to try his hand at it and I obliged him.  I don't have the time to go and learn all the

 

coding required because I'm taking care of my 77 year old mother who recently just had a stroke.  So now you know my time constraints.  I was basically just looking for someone who 

 

knows how to do these things and they can admin the server and I'll basically be the guy paying for it.  Not such a bad trade is it?  Anyway, now you know.

What scripts do you need added? I have plenty of time, even though i have my own server.

If you just wanted to pay for the server im sure there loads of people that would have let you ;-)

What acess you give for the server ? Me and my friend wich i used to host a server about 8 months ago manage to take "under my wing" a server and its doing pretty much fine imo , I'm curious tho what access do u give.
