moving player built base from one host to another?

hey sorry i couldnt find really what i was looking for so i figured i would make a post about it hopefully this is the best place for this.

Dayz.st seems to be dead at the moment and i am going to move my server to probably either vert or vilayer (any better suggestions?) and i was just curious if i could just take the database entries from dayz.st and upload them to the database of a new server on one of the other hosts? im assuming i could just download the database backup from dayz.st and upload it somehow to the new host i just wanted to ask you guys if i was wrong in assuming this or if there was a different way to do this.  i have added a few vehicles to the vendors and some of my friends have put a lot of work into building a base so i would like to just move all of that at once.

Yes, you can take the database from one host and import it to the new host.

does vert keep the servers updated pretty quickly after an update is released?

 then u can do the update ur self!

hey BetterDeadThanZed if i am going to do the whole database thing do i just need to grab the database backup file from my dayz.st control panel or do i need to actually go into the databse and export different pages?

They make the updates available for you to run as you want. There's no forced updates. They are very quick with adding new patches. Right now I have the option to install any Arma 2 OA version from 96061 to 125548 and Epoch 1.0.0.1 to 1.0.5.1.

 

I'm not familiar with dayz.st's database. You'd want to export the tables with the player info and objects. Can't tell you the exact tables right now because I'm at work and can't look at my database.
