mission pbo's

Question

Okay, this is going to sound like a stupid question, i'm sure, but where are the mission pbo's?  Just about every addon i'd like to use asks me to unpack my mission pbo file, but i don't see one where they're telling me to look:

unpack your MPMissions/Your_Mission.pbo, and open the resulting folder.

Note: "Your_Mission.pbo" is a placeholder name. Your mission might be called "DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus", "DayZ_Epoch_13.Tavi", or "dayz_mission" depending on hosting and chosen map.

I followed the get my server up and running (finally), but when i look in \EpochServer\MPMissions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus\ i only see the ca folder, sqf, sqm, etc...  Which pbo am i supposed to be unpacking?

Depending on your host or server it may either be in folder format and not packed into a .pbo (like yours) or packed into a .pbo

This is your actual mission file

\EpochServer\MPMissions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus

You have the choice of leaving it unpacked or packing it with pbo view or pbo manager, but if you're making a lot of changes/testing it's probably less time consuming to keep it in folder format. Don't forget to make a copy before you change/break anything ;)

okay, so i can skip that particular unpack step, make whatever changes the addon instructions wants me to make, and then leave it unpacked?

second question...where do i find the sqf files, like trade_any_vehicle.sqf, trade_any_boat.sqf, etc. referenced by piggd in about using UID's to lock/unlock vehicles?

Yes, it's ok to leave it unpacked.

You will find most sqf files that need to be modded for scripts in the DayZ_Epoch client files folder, open it and find dayz_code.pbo, unpack that and look in the folders for the files you need.

Should i do the same with dayz_server.pbo, or is this just a concern for dayz_code.pbo?  For example, in thread about custom loadouts, it wants me to make edits to dayz_server\compile\server_playerSetup.sqf...  Should i make those edits, and repack the pbo, or should i use the custom compiles.sqf method?
