IIIpl4sm4III
So today, I spent some time at NWAF farming policeman zombies whilst the server was dead (Like late at night) to see if I could obtain one of these elusive "Hot-wire Kits" After about killing like 30 zombies I gave in and looked up what the EXACT chance it is to drop, no luck. Anyone know this, aside them being "Really rare"?
Tobias Solem
Wow, you killed 30 zombies. You'll find one in about 90 or 100 zombies killed, given you kill the right ones. If you don't its more like one in 600.
lipemr
I only found one in more than 300 hours on epoch. they're so rare that i tough they had removed it on some of the last patches, then i was in balota hanging around and bumped into one, just to be killed by an entire clan afterwards. sadface. IIIpl4sm4III
"ItemHotwireKit" 0.03% drop rate What the fuck. Should at-least be farm-able, like 0.60%.
fr1nk
"ItemHotwireKit" 0.03% drop rate I think 0.03 --> 3%.
Joel the Jackle
I had a friend find four of them in a week. I have yet to find one after almost 6 months of playtime...
Mercules
What the fuck. Should at-least be farm-able, like 0.60%. Technically .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% is farm-able, it just takes more tries. I think 0.03 --> 3%. I think 0.03% = 0.03%. cen
fr1nk
The math doesn't make sense if it's 0.03% https://github.com/vbawol/DayZ-Epoch/blob/master/SQF/dayz_code/Configs/CfgLoot/CfgLoot.hpp epochu
Tobias Solem
Multiply 0.03 by 100 and you have the percentage. Then facepalm from being silly.
Mercules
I know how to do percents... What does it say though. Does it say .03 or does it say .03%? There is a HUGE difference.

epochu
There actually is a way to somewhat farm hotwire kits - mass graves and helo crashes. Park a helo just over 30m away from them and they will continue spawning zombie pilots that can't hit you. I realize the percentages are the same, and It might just be coincidence, but I seem to find them more on pilots than on cops.
