  1. Hey Vamp, been really ill so haven't been around.

     

    Just installed VEMF on my sever and it works like a charm.

     

    Very impressed with the AI "patrolling". I agree that they could take advantage of cover positions more etc but other than that you have this shit nailed.

     

    Perhaps give them smoke or grenades to mix it up. Maybe even flares for night ops.

     

    Looking foward to other missions / addons etc.

  2. no missions are starting at al? l i get the text in game saying its running the mod and i changed the pbo to start missions with one online player but nothing. Is there anything else i am meant to do to get it going with one person on the server?

    Im having the same issue. The log shows the missions are running and ive edited the init to refl reflect 1 player being online and nothing shows in game. If you manage to fix it let me know lol. Ive tried twice as a fresh install

    Have You added the init.sqf into the mission pbo (e.g. epoch.Altis.pbo)?

    You have to shut down the server, then replace the pbo within the MPMissions folder and then start the Server.

    Thanks for reporting this, I will fix it in the next update.

    For a temporary fix, change this in bDevice.sqf:

    _camonet = createVehicle ["CamoNet_Indp_Big_F",_pos,[], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"];
    _missionObjects pushBack _camonet;
    _camonet setDir (getDir _wreck);
    _camonet setPos _pos;

  4. Yeah i've definitely done that. they just aren't spawning in. I don't know what the hell i've done wrong :-/

     

    i've checked the log andit states:

     

    13:14:05 "#SEM: Running Mission "Strange Device" at Position [6834.42,14146.6]"
    13:14:07 "#SEM: Spawned 6 units at position [6834.42,14146.6]"
    13:14:37 "#SEM: Mission AI disabled"
    13:14:37 "#SEM: Mission AI waiting for their first encounter"

     

    No notifications or markers on the map.

  5. If it's a script restriction kick, it's logged in the scripts.log and the filters inside the scripts.txt do not have the right exceptions added.

    Check the scripts.txt again and if You really can't find the error/mistake by Yourself, upload the script.txt and the script.log as attachment to Your post (.zip them before uploading).

     

    Same goes for publicvariable restriction #X

    publicvariable.log + publicvariable.txt

     

    createvehicle restriction #X

    createvehicle.log + createvehicle.txt

     

    etc.

    Hi Kilo,

     

    I managed to fix the kick issues - thanks for showing me where to find the logs etc. The only issue i'm having now is that the missions aren't showing up on my server.

     

    I've checked the log and they are being loaded in but don't appear on the map.

     

    I've also tried logging out and in again to see if that was causing the issue but no luck.

     

    Any ideas as to what I should check next?

     

    Edit - Can't see them in game at the worldspace in the log.

  6. Can't wait tbh. It would be great to possibly have them call for backup if they aren't cleared within X amount of time maybe. Backup could be delivered by paradrop or maybe even a team in a vehicle - that would add pressure to clear rather than sit in the woods at 500m and snipe them.

     

    I appreciate this is going to be down the line a bit so will be patiently waiting.

  7. Works like a charm on my current server - Many thanks for releasing this. I have to agree with the other comments, the AI do tend to play sitting ducks lol. I'm sure this will all be ironed out in future releases though!

     

    +1 for the AI with launcher, at least it protects them from being run over and could potentially be used against incoming heli's too.

  8. Initially I liked the idea of a real economy, but I've changed my mind. I want traders to be stocked, similar to DayZ Epoch.

    Not everybody has the spare time to waste looting for certain things to complete their base. Plus, player to player trading is difficult without sidechat enabled, so a focal point like Stary would be a good place to gather to sell your shit.

    The reason I prefer trader cities is because they're social environments, where friends and foes are made. We're social animals and we congregate in markets and city centres the world over.

  9. Hey all, I installed DZAI the other week and was running fine, installed EMS and all of the vehicles were invisible but missions and AI worked fine. Went back to basic server and installed EMS and that works fine, some stuff didn't despawn but nothing major. I'm guessing the DZAI aspect isn't quite merged yet? Does Sarge AI work with the missions or had it been phased out?
