  1. As mentioned above coloured hexagons based off distance is a perfect solution in my opinion.

    If somebody is:

    1k+ away they are red

    500-999m they are orange and

    0-500m = Blue

To help distinguish players maybe just add a small translucent number inside the hexagon? 1, 2, 3, 4 etc... At the bottom of the HUD it groups players in those numbers anyway...

That if you see the group/squad interface, because sometimes I don't see it at all

  2. What scope?  What gun? Are you using a suppressor?  (A suppressor is increase velocity and therefore change the point of aim)

If you are going over 1k I highly suggest the SOS or LRPS.  The reason being is they have a much better zoom and utilize mill dots.   At longer distances you will need them for precision shooting.

I usually use an SOS with the MK18 and a silencer, didn't the suppressor could change anything though

We can do further tests on the server if you like Polar!

Give some back up to your post, maybe someone could record it too?

    dM

Would be cool to figure out how it works in order to play better

  3. I don´t know if it´s an epoch issue or an Arma 3 issue but I will post it anyway. Have you guys been in an AI mission, took the correct distance between you and the enemy with the binoculars (I don't remember the names of the tool now, it's the one that has NV and the distance) zero your weapon correctly and miss by a long shot? For example most of my AI's were at 950 m and I could kill them zeroin at 800 m, how is that possible ?

  4. Thanks for explaining to me guys

    -1

Different colored hexes would be sweet though.

You think? It would be a little frustrating for me to have different colored hexes in my sight and not be able to change the color of those. I prefer name tags and, if measuring the distance between two players is impossible, making it colored could be nice. For example red could mean you're far away, green you're near the player and blue he's next to you

  5. Would be cool indeed if mines could persist after server restart and you had the option to maintain only base objects or the security system (mines and other things), in case you had razor wire, sandbags and mines and you don't have enough money to maintain those. I agree with TheVampire that crafting some explosives, with maybe less damage or throw ratio, could improve gameplay

  6. It's incredibly bad. It's happening on a nightly basis. I can see myself drifting away until all this is sorted.

The revive problems are fucking game breaking too.

Same here. I had to shot almost 100 bullets to an AI in front of me, literally, to kill him with a mk200 :/ For the revives I didn't have any problems with it in another server but in the current one it just doesn't work at all, makes multiguns almost useless

  7. Would be cool to see your groups players on the map (the one you see when you press M), be able to command them through the map like a squad leader and see their names while you're playing. Also would be cool, for big groups only, to have the ability to create small squads to coordinate better the operations (i.e. raiding a base, doing missions, etc.), what do you think about guys ?

  8. I think there should be a system to create your own key for a vehicle you purchase from traders. It is kind of annoying that people steal your vehicles, even when you hide them inside or outside a base, and you have to walk again till you find another vehicle (which is not that easy as it seems). Now vehicles have this huge capacity to store items, even a quad can store a lot of things, so it still better than lockboxes, tipis and shelves, the only problem is that you have no guarantee that your most precious vehicle (chopper are really hard to hide) will be there after you wake up and log in.

  9. Thanks, very instructive but you're building on easy surfaces and I've to admin the building system on that kind of terrain is brilliant. I'm trying to build a garage in a hill which has a very irregular ground and placing the cinder walls is really tiring so what do you suggest? Should I place the vehicles on wood floors? (Wishing the gods to avoid an explosion)

  10. Hi, after spending 30 minutes trying to build 2 cinder walls (it happens with wood walls also and pretty much every modular object) I come to this forum to report how annoying and tiring it is to build a base with the current building system implemented, plus the snap building (for mysterious reasons) has only worked so far 3 times. The wiki controls are not very detailed neither the ingame messages (What does it means for  snap direction 1,2,3 or 0???). I've also noticed that when building on hills when you press the page down key the object instead of going down it goes up, very weird. Wood floors also don't quite align with foundations and are not very easy to put down on them

So I'm asking please please PLEASE fix this building system as soon as possible because it is becoming a pain in the *** to build something decent or go back to the splendid, FANTASTIC snap tool we had on Arma 2
