Chernarus epoch confirmed. When server files are released to the public, the Legion will be hosting Epoch Chernarus.
I'm sure other communities will be hosting it as well.
It'll probably be some time before epoch devs release server files to the public though. Still, something to look forward too.

Hmm I like the player limit idea, however that doesn't really resolve the issue since there could be an unlimited number of players..

I agree with OP on this one, sure the kart DLC is cheap so no big deal, the problem lies in future DLC. Giving players an in game advantage for purchasing DLC should not be a thing.
New guns will also be released with the marksmanship patch, will players be barred from using said guns without purchasing the DLC?
How much money will people have to spend to maintain an even playing field? Long term epoch players shouldn't be expected to cough up money everytime Bohemia decides to release new content.
BTW I've purchased the DLC bundle. I purchased it because it was an option available to me and I saw potential value in a product. I don't understand this "support Bohemia" crap. If a company wants my money they need to provide me with a product or service that I feel is worth it, I should not be forced to upgrade just to use the original product to its full potential.

Now this may have just been a product from the rumor mill but I've heard that epoch devs were waiting on an Arma 3 patch before releasing the next major epoch update.
Is this true? If so is this the patch?

Discussed this earlier, I think once epoch code is fully released to public you'll see a few people hosting it.
Right now there is a large French community who play chernarus wasteland on Arma 3. They have strict whitelisting and keep finding out I'm not actually French though =(.

I've shot the tire of a hunter in epoch 5 times with a Lynx and it did nothing. Upon further testing I loaded editor and was able to take out the tire with 7 shots from a 9mm handgun...
Is there something epoch specific that are making hunters more durable?

Noticed this on BMRF server (haven't tried to recreate on another server).
If you type in group chat, with other members online, you automatically get instantly kicked.
I believe it gives a script restriction kick message, I'll double check tonight and report back with exact info.

BMRF.me hosts both overpoch and Arma 3 epoch. High quality servers with good admins and community.

I like this idea of a micro freq. jammer for smaller bases.

I like the idea of cooked meat/fish bringing your damage back down to 0. Would add a survivalist feel that is somewhat lacking at this point.

Just a couple tweaks I think would help players a lot. Right now there are two ways of healing a player, one is the heal player + multigun and the other is a first aid kit. First aid kits can only heal to .25 damage. You still get significant weapon sway with .25 damage, and for solo players there is no way to heal yourself to full health (0.0 damage).
I suggest two things;
1. Very slow health regeneration (if optimal food/drink/temp/stamina conditions are met)
2. Ability to use first aid kit to heal yourself to full health. (Optional - less critical)
Right now the only solution for a solo player to heal one's self to full health is by killing yourself and running back to your body (which is becoming a regular practice since gun fights are near impossible while damaged.
I'm sure these ideas can be fine tuned, but slow health regeneration is a must I feel.

Exactly, I was just trying to spread awareness to those who didn't know about BMRF and to those who thought the official epoch servers were shutdown or password.
I don't work for BMRF and was whitelisted two years ago so I can't really be a whole lot of help with technical issues.

Pretty sure it an automated message as stated earlier, I think you can still log in and play. Sometimes they turn off auto whitelisting and do it manually for whatever reason. If it doesn't work within a couple hours just click on support and have a chat with the staff. Pretty sure it'll work right away tho.

Also check out BMRF.me register for the forums and get auto whitelisted. They are an official Server and a great community that have been around for years.

Whitelisting works with your ip address I'm pretty sure. I've not seen this error message before, did you get whitelisted at BMRF.me? Pretty sure you just need to make a forum account and your good to go. If still having issues make a post on the forums or click "support" and talk to one of the staff members in their IRC channel.

I've seen a lot of posts of poor trying to get passwords for official servers, unofficial servers with high pop etc.
BMRF.me has been entrusted with the server files and are officially supported by the epoch devs.
Go to BMRF.me to get whitelisted. If your not familiar with BMRF, I'll just say that you've been missing out. By far the best in the business when it comes to hosting/moderating/administration.

Guys, BMRF servers are open to the public AND they are officially supported by the epoch mods. Get whitelisted at BMRF.me. I've played on BMRF servers for years and I can tell you these guys are arguably the best hosts I've ever encountered in arma/dayz. Extremely transparent, fair and will NEVER abuse their rights.

Why does it seem A3 epoch is having more trouble with this than other servers? I used to play epoch all the time on BMRF servers, we rarely encountered hackers/script kiddies and when we did they were swiftly removed and the servers rolled back.

That is all.
Edit: After reading the description again I realized it could be interpreted as if the world was a thriving technologicaly advanced society until a recent catastrophe. I originally assumed there was 25+ years of zombie apocalypse before epoch and that technology hasn't really advanced since real life present day.
Health System Tweaks Needed!

Didn't see any changes to the health system in the 0.2 patch notes.
Solo players need a way to heal themselves to full health, especially considering the gun sway you receive with 0.25 damage. I'm bumping this topic because I feel that it's a major oversight and deserves more attention from the devs.
