  1. If you don't have the kart dlc... when you click on kart it will give you an error and then kick you from game for "building" . So yeah it is kind of a problem for people who don't have that dlc(i don't have that dlc and clicked the kart unknowingly and got kicked)

When I run into someones kart in game im going to see if I can reproduce that result. Maybe someone else can try and confirm this. But the first time I did it... it did kick me for some kind of "building error"

  2. no I'm cool with that, no problem.

I thought admins are just being admins and kick/ban idiots like on every other server.

Epoch got not much rules but bugging and glitching is just noobish and yes I'll stop playing this shit until it's public, so I can join a server with cool admins or I'll do my own without idiots.

and again fyi: This bug is NOT epoch related, you can do this in every arma3 mod, I was just upset that ppl think this is part of the game, so do your noobish playing with that, i dont give a fuck.

    ty for nothing.

Its Alpha and you are not understanding what Alpha is all about. You shouldn't get attached to shiny loot or things that are hoarded like Krypto. Expect to die a lot. Expect to lose a lot of gear(bugging and glitching). And why do you call the mod "shit" if you say its NOT epoch related. What admins or moderators look for when banning people is proof. They investigate and make fair minded decisions. Not blind decisions. Can you prove whoever did whatever to your base? If not.... you should take the issue up with Bohemia.

  3. Cons

    • Loot distribution is probably my biggest peeve, I play solo most of the time and honestly I can walk through an entire town spending a good hour doing it and find a backpack full of crappy gear. I have only ever found like 3 vehicle repair kits, no hatchet, no useful tools. It makes it really hard to stay in the game when all I find is clothing and ammo for guns I don't need. I've racked up thousands of Krypto from hoarding but I want to move on and build a base but I can't because there's just such rare loot.
    • Honestly, I know it kind of breaks the immersion of the game but please add in a side/global chat so noobs can ask questions. It took me so long to find out how to do things in game, it will save me so much hassle if I could just ask a question then crawling through hundreds of forum posts and an empty wiki just to find out what I'm doing.
    • West Side of the map, there is just nothing really there and I don't know why. Is it supposed to be like the North of Chernarus where everyone goes to build their bases? It just seems like why have all that space with no traders?
    • Documentation, I know this was just released to the public but for what you guys have in the game right now I think it's important to have some sort of documentation and noob guide for people to get started. As I said before I found it really difficult to find what I was doing in my first few hours. Get a few trusted community members and get them working on the wiki, personally I think this is one of the most important things when it comes to sandbox games.

    What I would change

    • Mostly, loot distribution. Make it more common and possibly make the rarer items like hatchets and what not appear more often. I just really am getting bored of running through endless towns finding nothing but clothes and ammo.
    • Trader cities, this was one of the biggest things in the original Epoch. A coupld of safezoned trader cities where you could buy the stuff you needed if you wanted to, this would make life a lot easier because you would still need to do the hunting and gathering to make enough krypto so you can't just get into a game and buy everything you want and it allows people who have got a bunch of krypto to buy the tools and materials they need.
    • Nerf Gun prices, Buff car prices. Guns are craaazy cheap right now, I think they are just too cheap when I can buy like the best sniper in the game for something like 20krypto and a hatchback costs like 800 I just think that's crazy. Just my opinion though

I think that's about it, at least what I can think of, really am loving the game so far just really getting bored of the looting.

Keep up the good work looking forward to the next update.

I think it should be somewhat difficult and time consuming to find certain items. This makes killing another player for his gear more desireable. Its a survivor game. I don't think gear should be common and spoon fed to us.

Also, you said there should be side chat. You need to find a radio and equip it. That is our global side chat.

  4. I can confirm that Stringer is one of the hackers, I was recording and Stringer and .marc were the only ones not being dragged by jets and getting killed

I am not so sure that this is necessarily true. Just because they were the only ones not being dragged doesn't make them the culprit. What I noticed when I was playing last night is that if you play in heavily wooded areas in the northwest you can go undetected by the jets. Some people purposely make themselves lost when they notice stuff like hackers using jets to swoop on players. Eventually I got launched in the air when I went to a big open area around a mountain top. I would just disable the jets for now. Seems like a small price to pay and would save people the headaches.

  5. 1: If it were in the game, under what stipulations would you even remotely accept it as a factor in Epoch?

(example: Consumes an entire energy pack within 10 seconds, maxes out player's fatigue; exhausting the player entirely after a short use of cloak; extremely rare, etc)

I would remotely accept it as a factor if this ability "cloaking" was attainable via an ultra rare item pickup.By making it an ultra rare item it would get people out and looking for it making more use of the map.Or let it be known/common knowledge that it drops in a part of the map that isn't traveled to as much compared to other parts of the map. I use to play Everquest back in the day. People would literally sit and camp area's for hours. People didnt have guns because it was PvE. By making cloaking a rare /ultra rare drop, in a known area this would create fighting for a specific areas or two on the map. I think it would be pretty cool. Has to be kept PvP though. There should be nothing nice about waiting around for it =p.

In your example you said it could cost energy packs, max out fatigue, exhaust the player. That all can be worked out and is doable. Thats not really the issue. The issue is balance.

You have to give a little to take a little. And how I would balance it is make some sort of infrared heat radar HUD if you are going to give players the ability to go unnoticed.

Or what would be even cooler is to code something that lets you cloak your base.

2:  Why do you think, no matter what cost or rarity...that it should never ever make it's way into a competitive server?

Personally I am a huge fan of using the terrain to move unnoticed.

Lurk in the shadows so to speak. That takes skill.

    Not be the shadow----> "cloaking"

  6. I was able to test it for a short amount of time until some hacker with a jet swooped down and launched me into the atmosphere. Night vision seems to be working now. Although like I said , I tried it like twice and at that time it was working like it should be. Anyone else get a chance to fumble around with it?
