It's not currently compatible but I am waiting for the same thing. As soon as it comes out on Linux, I'm gonna immediately get my hands on a Linux box and get one running. Plus (correct me if I'm wrong) the Linux arma 3 server is poorly optimized so you'd be best sticking with Windows for now.

Its a separate addon that you only have to download in-game, to the server (I think) and to teamspeak. Go through the setup guides on their website and it'll tell you what to do.

Don't forget the fact that it makes finding gear a lot harder. If you want that specific part for your base, you can't just go out and buy it, you have to search every trader for it until you find it or kill someone for it.

I like the new system; there's nothing wrong with it. I love how you can't just get rich, go to some guy's base, raid him, die, respawn and buy another high powered rifle and go back... It takes a little while to gear up again, at least it gives the owner enough time for the base owner to prepare him/herself. Also, it makes absolutely no sense for the trader to have an unlimited collection of Lynx snipers, for example.

Hey guys,

 

Just wondering, is it possible to host a server on a Linux box? I would guess not because you'd have to get things like BEC to run and they are executable files which do not run on Linux. If anyone could confirm whether it is possible or not, or whether it would be in the future, please do!

NFO Servers, I have one and i hosted a epoch server on it for about a year, it never let me down!

 

I also use NFO Servers for my private teamspeak server, wasn't sure how they were with dedicated servers. We may give them a try and see how good they are!

Hi all,

 

The community I play in currently has a Rust server from a normal game server host. We are looking into branching off into DayZ Overpoch and Arma 3.

 

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of getting a good dedicated server host for the cheapest possible while still being a good host with good performance, up-time, etc.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!
