  1. Hello,

     

    Is anyone still actively working on this script or no? I've added it to my server but the spawns do not work, doesn't matter what you select the game uses the old spawning system (random position). I've installed the mod correctly, pretty damn sure i did ;).

     

    If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, please let me know.

  2. Hello,

     

    This is a easy to *fix* error, don't worrie your files nor your friend's server files are corrupted. DayZ commander isn't working like it used to, so i reccomend using DayZ Launcher. When you join a server, the program you use to join a server, has to look what mods the server is using. In your case, dayz commander is probably thinking the server is just vanilla epoch whilst in reality, its epoch napf.

     

    So how do i fix this?

     

    All you need to do is download DayZ Launcher from this website : http://dayzlauncher.com,

    Once you have done that, you'll need to reinstall DayZ Epoch 1051 and your done.

     

    I still have the same error but i am using DayZ Launcher, what am i supposed to do?

     

    Have you downloaded the correct version of Epoch?

    Are you joining the right server?

    Can you friend join, or not?

     

    Using DayZ Launcher should help you out now and in the future, i believe your issue will be fixed after this.

  3. H1Z1, maybe a worser scam when it was released than DayZ Standalone...

     

    On release, it took them 8 hours to setup the server before people could finnaly play the game and once they got in after 2 hours of waiting. They found out that it indeed is a blackberry and stick simulator 2015, you're saying SA is lacking content? Ha! H1Z1 is even worse, and i know its still Aplha and so is DayZ Standalone. 

    The amount of shit people gave DayZ sa because they expected so much from it and when it didn't satisfie their high needs, they started giving it a ton of shit.

     

    H1Z1 has even worser bugs in the game at the moment and a ton of people are sticking up for the game, "Well its a aplha sooooo", everything is broken apart from the shop. Oh yeaaa you can buy your supply drops and crates with your goodies and get your guns. I mean come on!

    I can understand when a free to play game decides to add a shop to make some profit. But it clearly says on my steam the following:

    Why would you add a in- game shop whilst its still pay to play... 

     

    In StandAlone zombies worked, they were walking through walls etc. But worked. Rather than H1Z1 where their just standing still not doing anything but look at you. Loot could be found in SA but in H1Z1 you goda collect them berry's to stay alive.

     

    I might change my opinion later on, but am still disapointed from the in- game item shop as smedley clearly stated :

    "We will NOT be selling Guns, Ammo, Food, Water... i.e. That's kind of the whole game and it would suck in our opinion if we did that."

    And what ideas do the developers of H1Z1 have that are Unique or completely different than StandAlone or DayZ Mod?

    A building system, yea got that already in Epoch

    Vehicles, yea DayZ has them

    Crafting, yup DayZ has it

    Zombies, Dayz again...

    Emotes, Dayz...

     

    The game might be better in 2 years from now, but Standalone is already ahead from H1Z1. At the moment its crap, just really expensive trash and i won't be paying for it. I've seen enough streams, i've seen enough reviews.

    Extreme? I think its reality, all of the footage shown is Real. Its not a opinion its what this guy experienced playing the game.

     

    Some points.

    DayZ Standalone also costs money for a half-assed prealpha and doesn't offer anything in return.

    It offers more than H1Z1 at release, you could play the game normally. You got chased down by zombies, find loot and have some PVP going.

     

    All the complaints about pay to win are retarded, its a free to play to game, of course there are going to be micro-transactions.

    So your calling people retards for being mad at someone who blatantly lied to their face, awesome. (Not trying to make fun of you, but you goda do some research before posting stuff about people)

     

    Not to mention these reviews are all made on release night. It's constantly being patched its already a different game. 

    Remember that Standalone has been patched a lot since release, loot spawns are good, zombies work well nice and there is a lot of customization in the game.

     

    And almost every other point he makes in this video you could also make about stand alone. Terrible AI, terrible pathfinding, retarded zombies.  Except this game runs a lot smoother, much better frame rate and more consistent frames as well.

    You must have played only on the first day aswel since you clearly haven't played it recently.

     

    It has mutliple game types, battle royale is good fun.

    You can do this in Arma 3 for free and you can set this up in Dayz for free aswel, just goda find some people that want to participate. But you goda pay for it in H1Z1.

     

    The graphics don't bother me much because it makes the game run smoother.  Dayz Standalone is still fundamentally broken and it's been out for a year. They're too busy playing dress up barbie and releasing new colored hats or backpacks instead of fixing the zombies in a zombie survival game.

    Zombie have been fixed, pvp is much diffrent and there is less shoot on sight. In each stream i watch and the streamer meets someone, both streamer and player think "Oh, lets punsh the hell out of him, haha", bandity you cannot stop. However you can "punish" people for doing so, since gear is being destroyed when damaged to much in Standalone. A cool but not fully working feature since if you see a guy with hardly any gear on him, you can still kill him and loose nothing.

     

    This is my opinion, if you are offended by this then i am sorry, but thats the way i think about this game.

    I believe the two of you are in the wrong forum section here... It clearly says the following at the top.

    Right when it comes to fixing this issue,

     

    Are you having this issue with just 1 specific server Or are you having this issue on more than 3 servers?

    What version of Epoch are u using, 1.0.5.1 or a older version?

    What version of Epoch is the server(s) you're trying to join, using? Is it 1.0.5.1 or a older version?

     

    Once these questions are answered, i can help you out.

    Lately dayz commander is playing up and isn't working the way it used to be, its outdated. I reccomend using DayZ Launcher as it Is up to date and works fine. It works the same as dayz commander so there shouldn't be any difficulty's when it comes to installing new mods.

    After installing dayz launcher, download the mods that are being used by the server you want to join. Some servers use outdated versions of mods or use a extra mod, like overpoch.

    @Dutchy.

     

    The tagging system should not be affected by a server restart.  People you tag are saved in your character record on the DB (CurrentState field in character_data).  There is one trick to it though.  As standard in Epoch, the tagged friendly player has to look at the plot owner after logging in before they can build on the owners plot even if already tagged as friendly.  I suspect that was put in to stop 'friendly tagged' players causing problems building without the owner being aware that their plot was being modified.

     

    If that is not what is causing the issue for you then post in the A Plot for Life thread and I will see if I can help you to get to the bottom of the issue.

     

    Yea thats what i ment, so after a server restart and your friend (the owner of the plot pole) logs off, you cannot build because the "handshake" cannot be made anymore.

    For some ridiculous reason I'm not allowed to upload .sqf so I've provided a .txt based mirror via the forums here instead of an .sqf mirror like intended...You'll have to rename it to from .txt .sqf if you download it via this thread attachment.

     

    Maybe it a good idea packing the sqf file in a zip file and then uploading it :)

    There is not much diffrance between the two Addons, altough they are both unique.

     

    Character ID:

    This is a ID everyone gets when they first spawn, for instance i join the server i get character ID 1. Roachy joins the server and gets Character ID 2 and Nekuan joins the server and gets Charcter ID 3. I (character ID 1) die, i do not get Character ID 2 or 3, no i get Character ID 4. So a character ID is a ID that changes a lot.

     

    Steam ID:

    A Steam ID is a ID that stays the same, it does not change because you die.

     

    Plotpole for life

     

    What it does is instead of the plotpole being tied to your Character ID , its being tied to your Steam ID. That means, you stay owner of the plotpole after death and it will allow you to build on this plot. Although, you cannot add your friends to the plot which means you will need to keep tagging each other as friendly (after a restart) to be able to let your friend use your claimed plot. 

    But once you go offline after a server restart, you cannot tag your friend as friendly that means that your plotpole does not know that you and your friend are friends. And it will block your friend from building on your plot.

     

    Plot management

     

    This uses a different system But similar. Once you have placed your plotpole, you will need to then add yourself to the plotpole and you can build after you died. You can also add your friends to the plotpole and they can always use the plotpole, your friends can be removed from the plotpole.

     

    It also contains maintaining features and can be used together with the gold coin system.

    Depending on if there is a clothes package for the specific skin then yes. I do not believe this skin has its own clothe package.

     

    What i mean by cloth package(s) is;

    A actual in game item that u can find in lootpiles, for example you find a gillie suit that, once put in your inventory, you can wear. Not all skins are able to be found as a clothe package, like the UN skin. So you cannot add these to safes, inventories, vehicle inventories, etc.

     

    How ever, you can change a players skin within the database, goto : (NOTE: This is will need to be done manually)

    1. Your database,

    2. Openup the Character Data

    3. Go all the way to the back and goto Model

     

    You can change the players skin by changing the model of the player. 

     

     

     

    Another question: 

     

    Lets say i have 2 active admins, and they dont have to spawn in with the same skin. Can i make the code like this:

    Yup you can do this as you like, although i recommend creating a loadout.sqf file and putting all these custom load outs in here. More info can be found here :

    1. Right so you do not want everyone on the server to be able to buy the UN skin from a trader but you want this to be limited to admins. 

     

    2. OR you want to have to ability to add a skin to a admins safe.

     

    1. You might be able to create a white listed only trader where u use the steam ID's from your admins (same ID's you added to the infistar antihack) and only the people that are added to that trader have the ability to use this trader.

     

    2. Like i have said, not all skins come in the skin packages, so you are unable to put non existing items in a safe.

     

     

    What might be a good idea however, is creating a custom spawn loadout for admins only, where you only add the skin they spawn with and the items normal player spawn with. This saves a lot of hassle.

    I think u could make a easy script and link a trader to this script, say;

     

    To become a Saint you must have 25000 humanity, currently there is already a default epoch script with the Hero and Bandit traders. You must have 5000 or -5000 humanity to be able to trade with either one of them.

    I think you could cope most of the code, remember to give credit to the right owners when copying chunks of scripts!

     

    Interesting idea btw ;) When i have some spare time i'll see if i can do something , What map are u running btw? ill see if i can create a little area for 2 different traders.

    What tutorial did you follow to make the Overpoch server, or didn't you follow any tutorial at all?

     

    1. Did u add the @DayzOverwatch folder to your sever root (where all the files for your server are located)

    2. Did you drop the overwatch.bikey in to the keys folder in your server root?

    3. Did you rename any over the @ folder? (EI, @DayZ_Epoch_Server / @DayZ_Epoch Or DayZ_Epoch_##.MAPNAME (DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus))

        3.1 If yes, did you change the paths leading to these files?

        3.2 If yes, did you change your .bat file ?

     

    4. Did you put the following lines of code in your mission.sqm (This is found in your Server Root\MPMissions folder. For me this is C:\Users\root\Desktop\OmegaGamers\GamingServers\Dayz_OverPoch\MPMissions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus)
