DrScandalous Posted February 25, 2014 Report Share Posted February 25, 2014 Playing on a Panthera PvE server and have the choice of buying one of the following: a Blackhawk or a Merlin. I've used a Blackhawk before but I've found the storage to be a bit of a bummer, which I've heard is NOT an issue with the Merlin (which I have NO experience with). Those of you who have experience flying both... what are your thoughts on them? I'm not going to be using the Blackhawk for combat... so consider them as a basic transportation craft + something that'll take me in when I'm long-ranging bandit AI missions. Preferences? Opinions? The Merlin has a LOT of glass meaning it has a very touchy glass fueltank, but is also the fastest chopper (excluding the osprey ofc), and has more storage space Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DrScandalous Posted March 4, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 I do like the Merlin, but the glass issue (and thus, the random "empty fuel tanks") ended up being the final straw for me, decision wise. I decided that if I need the extra space, I'd deal with the inconvenience of packing an extra couple backpacks in a Huey (which I'll end up buying when I inevitably crash or get shot down in the Wildcat, lol).
