Server Installation/Connection Issue

Bandus

Question

Greetings! Recently, I attempted to install and setup an Arma 3 server for Epoch. My issue is that the server does not appear in the server list and cannot be connected to directly, but I am not sure why.

As far as I am aware I have followed all the instructions for installation/setup properly. I have forwarded ports 2302-2303 (for the game itself) and 6379 (for redis).

When I attempt to launch the server I receive the following:

My config files appear as follows:

Hey man, try opening 2304-2306 as well. Although 2303 is your steamquery port, 2304 is the steam port. then 2305 is something to do with VON (iirc). Also, since arma version 1.6x you need to have rcon on a separate port to the main server port. So, set that up on 2306. Remember to also set the rcon port in the beserver.cfg now as well.

So, change your rule to open 2302-2306 on both UDP and TCP and it will all spring to life :)

Finally, you can take that rule off for redis. That connection is internal inside your firewall and doesn't need to be opened up externally.

You don't need the above. That is for Arma 2. As you can  see in his console window that those ports are already being used correctly. Also your startup you have the client mod twice.  " -mod=@Epoch; -serverMod=@Epoch;@EpochHive;"

And all ports only need udp.

I greatly appreciate the responses! I went ahead and forwarded ports 2302 - 2306 as suggested. I also removed the @Epoch from serverMod=

Unfortunately, I still am unable to see the server in the server list and cannot direct join it. I don't suppose there are any thoughts/ideas on what might be causing this?

Have you forgotten to mark the ports as active?

Oh my, can you imagine how embarrassed I'd be! I realize in the screenshot it appears those check boxes for to mark the rules as active, however, they are actually the checks to choose which rules to delete.

Edit: I should also add, I have tried seeing the server through both the launcher browser and in the-game browser. I have also, of course, tried direct connecting to the server's external IP and port 2302, all to no effect.
