So if you find in loot a machinegun and ammo for it and you pick up machine gun and then ammo for it, it should re-load automatically, yet ammo disappears after reload sound finishes. So far experienced it only with machine guns for some reason. Could be an issue that my inventory was full too so there was no room for machinegun ammo however I did not put it into my inventory just did reload from "the ground" by picking it up with right mouse click. Edit. Tested again with another rifle (m14) with all the same conditions, inventory full, ammo picked up from the ground - did not disappear. Seems like it only affects machineguns.
