HarryNutz
I was told that jammers have to be I think 650 meters away from each other... does that mean that if i place a jammer and then go to place another, that it has to be 650 meters away or 1.3 km away because the 650 radius of each jammer cannot overlap? TheStainlessSteelRat
I have always believed defaults were 75m build radius and 250m exclusion radius. And yes they can't overlap as jammer frequencies will be blocked.
He-Man
If you place a jammer, the script check, if there already is another jammer within 650m Radius.
HarryNutz
He-Man... so if there is one that is say... 651 meters away... it will allow a jammer to be placed? Here is my problem... I removed my jammer and when I went to place a new one it wouldn't let me, saying another jammer was detected because apparently in 0.3.8 the range was less and someone built a base 550 meters from me and then comes 0.3.9 with a larger range and instant headache. So if I can get the radius check lowered to say... 500... it would allow it? I attached an image showing the bases in question.
He-Man
Yes, in 0.3.8 this config does not exist. If you are an Admin, you can adjust the min distance in the cfgepochclient.hpp inside your Mission file HarryNutz
HarryNutz
Thanks. So looking at my image... if its lowered to 500 I should be ok putting another jammer at my base?
He-Man
This should work then. AS I said, it checks, if there is another Jammer within 650m radius HarryNutz
HarryNutz
Thank again He-Man. I just wanted to be sure and not knowing how exactly this stuff works I didn't know if there would be an overlap issue.

AS I said, it checks, if there is another Jammer within 650m radius One question - is this 650m radius should include the altitude? Cause i know that if you fly up high to 1km i.e., and build jammer there while sitting on passengers place, and than drop it - it will fall near the first jammer and will override it, so the owner of the second one will be able to remove the whole base down there... He-Man
Oh lol, haven't known that this is possible inside Vehicles. I will have a look on it. I think the easiest and best way is to block building inside Vehicles?! Another solution would to check distance2d instead of distance... Edit: Just checked and there is already a "inside Vehicle" check. So it should not be possible?!
