3 Hour day/1 hr night...

I have read through this thread, but would like to specify what the best action to take to make a 3 hour day and 1 hour night per server start.  Thanks!!

If you happen to be hosting with DayZ.ST, we just rolled out a new 'short day' static time option in the control panel that begins each restart at 4pm, then you can adjust the date in the mission anywhere between summer and winter solstice dates to adjust how many hours of light you want in the, and the restart cycle in the control panel to set how many hours of night afterwards.

 

If you host with someone else, and have access to edit the hiveext.dll you can set static time and an offset to determine start time and follow the same basic procedure.  If you host does not allow access, ask them if they can set the time for you.

I figured it out... using Vilayer, just went into my epoch hiveext.ini and changed to static time, 6 hr intervals starting at 1800.

So is that to say you set the offset to 6, the hour to 11, and the type to static?

Offset doesnt matter if you use static time.

 

Just change to hour to 18 and type to static and your server will go from 6 PM to midnight if you have 6 hour restart cycles.

we have a 6 hour restart. server starting at 16 (4 pm) so it SHOULD be around 2.5 hours day, 2 hours dusk and 1,5 ohurs night.

 

Strangely for most players its only day. we had 1 player that reported to see the night nut after a relog it was day for him again.

 

any solution for that?

So if we are hosting it from DayZ.ST and we wanted to increase the time of the nights (starting at 4pm) what would one do? And where do we edit the date?
