KPABATOK
So I noticed, that when I hit upgrade it sometimes makes the metal part not the outside, but inside. How to control it? Will it be fixed in 0.3 patch or is this problem here to stay? I mean, when you build a square base and want it surrounded with metal stud walls, it is all good, but what about walls inside the base? I thought that it should work like this, you look at the wall and press upgrade with metal, then this metal will "look at you" not the other way round, like in some cases I saw with my bases and many other people's bases. Hope it makes sense, english not my first language.
boaby
It depends on the facing of the wall when you place the stud.
KPABATOK
It is unclear, what you mean by "facing". You mean, if the stud is in a square floor (you know, snapped inside the floor, not outside), the metal will face outside? Right?
boaby
When your building/placing the stud wall one side has an outside and an inside , its not easily identifiable to see before you upgrade which side is which. if you place a stud and dont spin it , then upgrade youll see which side it will place the metal .. from this its just best guess .. sorry I cant be more clear as im pretty baked. Berreta
Dude just hold Q to rotate the wall until it stops. Then the side that is facing YOU will be the outside. Simple enough. Nic
Osiris72
Or hit 3 one or more times and it will spin / snap. I believe there is a "lighter" and "darker" side to a stud wall and which one the metal goes on I couldn't tell you, but there is a difference. Brez
Look at the number that appears on the top right when you are placing the object.. It's the degree's at which the object is currently.. You want 0 but you probably had it at
