Altis base locations

Just started playing, can't seem to find any good locations!

 

Any ideas?

Down the Island, on the other side of the street.... :ph34r:

 

There is a castle in the north west, called Thronos.....

But serious, go or drive around and have a look.

Cause every "good location" isnt a secret, so I look for the not so good locations and for some, where nobody want to live... :)

You can go explore the island in the editor. One thing I like to think about when choosing a base location is the distance from spawn. I want it far enough away I am not getting over run by fresh spawns, but close enough that it is not too far of a run. It is also good to build on top of a hill or where there are no hills around you so it is hard to get sniped.

If you do a search for "map name" and "cave"... that'll give you some solid places to start. Altis has 2-3 VERY good ones that are usually the first places to get nabbed. It's hard to get to, but there's one on the south side of the wooded island that's just west of "Spawn Island".

Be careful in that Altis cave down south on that moutain with two skeletons inside.

 

I have been there today with a friend and upon trying to leave I glitched into the mountain and had to ask an admin if he would be so kind to TP me out of there.
