Leniaal
Hello, Simple question but I couldn't find the answer anywhere, how much iron ore do you get from an Epicenter? Also, I heard you don't need a sledgehammer, is that correct? Thnx in advance, Leniaal
ImSoEnigma
The iron ore is a variable I think sometimes you'll get it and sometimes you'll get better stuff like rubys and emeralds. you don't need a sledge you can just shoot it with an entire LMG clip and it will work (faster). Knawx
The handful of Epicenter Veins that I have been able to harvest have given me random ore like iron, silver, and gold along with precious stones such as rubies, sapphire, etc. So to sum it up I don't think you are ever guarenteed any particular ore or gem. The sledgehammer seems to be the worst way to harvest these veins. It's very slow. You have to hit it some 500 times before it breaks. Guns will destroy it much faster if you have the ammo. 100 rounds from a 6.5 Light Machine Gun, or a few rounds from the Lynx Sniper Rifle will do it much quicker. DroneFW
I was considering taking epicenters to get more salvage metal but according to you guys this isn't really worth it, is it? What do you guys find the best method to get salvage metal? Probably shipping containers?
ImSoEnigma
there is no method basically just shipping containers and loot grinding towns.

Although you'll probably need a vehicle if you plan on getting to them first.
Flosstradamus
Just watch out for those pesky kids trolling with fake shipping containers and epicenter icons. Make sure you hit DEL over them just to be sure.
HFPatzi
i once saw a shopping container on the map :D Back to topic: Found no iron ore so far in epicenters. But i iwll find, anyone has an idea how to get salvage metal out of it? Maybe with a fireplace? I had an gold and an silver ore, but had no option in the crafting menu while standing beside a lit up fireplace, so i don't know how to "craft" gold or silver or metal with these ores-

If there was no crafting menu for the gold/silver I guess you can't do anything with it yet except sell it. HFPatzi
