SQL Events not Running as Scheduled

For some reason, after moving to a new server, our SQL events no longer seem to be running as scheduled. Now, I've started the scheduler both via the command prompt in MySQL as well as verified that it is set to be ON in the my.ini for the database. Anyone have any other ideas/places for me to check to see why the events are not running? I've also verified, through posting the event function into a query, that the syntax is good for the event.

Any restriction on how close to a restart you can run an event? The restart was to occur at 12, with the event running at 12:01:15. Does the server lock the tables at all during a restart?

You have to turn on the events again even if you have them the events need event :huh: 

in SQL code part use this command 
event_scheduler=on
 or 
SET GLOBAL event_scheduler = 1;
