DayZ epoch server optimization

Hello

 

I have been reading some post on openDayz, about optimizing your Dayz server and i don't understand it and would like an understanding of server optimization and some help optimizing my server to the best performance.

 

(Note)- I am not using a hosting service, i am using my hardware and network at home. I know its not the best and not recommended for dayz servers but its the best i can do. :(

The new update coming up, does make improvements to the optimization. Though it's for the game, and not actual server optimization. What type of environment are you using, such as Windows / Linux, etc.

I am using windows 7 64 bit operating system for my epoch server hosting

I7 processor with 4 cores running at 3.50GHz

memory: 8GB

normal hard drive with 7200 RPM

Network: 30mb
