Suggestion: hexes and groups, marking of players

Current system with marking of players in group looks unbalanced for me, so i would like to suggest my corrections.

 

In real world we can recognize friends at a certain distance, but can't do this at 1 km, right? So, we can see hexes at 100-200 meters, but they should dissapear at a greater distance. Hexes on the dead bodies should also disappear, imho.

I think something like ShackTac Group Indicators (STGI) would be helpful
Its Chevrons fade over distance starting at 30m and fully invisible at 60m, they are also transparent to be less bright and annoying as Vanilla ones, they should even override the elite difficulty settings.

Maybe you can use some of its ideas for the mod to make group play even more enjoyable.

I like the way it is now, but if you want to make it more realistic I think it could depend on players equipment.

If they have gps and radio then they should be visible at any distance.
Without those there could be a limitation in the distance you can see other group members position.

 

Also, it would be nice to add a number on hexes so you can tell who's who.

I too like the way it is now, but maybe on future servers when the server files are released, the admins will be able to modify this and people with probably release custom scripts to modify the group system. I agree that right now it is unrealistic, but it makes friendly fire almost impossible and you can immediately tell if someone you see is not in your group, which I really really like.
