Traders and Epoch 1.0.2.2

Hey guys

 

We've recently started up a test server running Lingor 1.5 and Epoch, so far I'm loving it.

 

We moved from Cherno 1.0.1.5, on that server we could add anything we wanted to the traders, we had most of the scars and a lot of custom robert hammer weapons. The trader itself would update basically immediately with the new stock. 

 

Now it seems with Lingor 1.5 and Epoch 1.0.2.2, I alter the price, items, basically everything but nothing seems to actually apply in game, apart from when the quantity of items is altered. E.g. I buy an item in game, it takes one away from that traders stock. I sell him an item, it adds it to it. I reduce stock level to zero in the db, and get insufficient stock in game when trying to purchase it. So, I know I'm altering the right trader. Tried rebooting the server even, still no change. No new items in there. We've added hundreds of new items into vendors before with absolutely no probs before moving to 1.0.2.2. Has this been fixed in place some how? If so how can I remove it?

 

We run a private PVE server with no BE, just a big group of friends, so having 'illegal' items is no biggy for us. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or, if this is actually as intended, does anyone know where I should start looking to alter this back so I can add new items to traders, and alter the prices etc?

Just an addition to this thread - it seems as though all the trader data is loaded when the server restarts, and not sure, but everything apart from the item quantity seems to be fixed in place, probably to make accessing it more efficient. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

 

So to those who might have been wondering like me, why their vendors no longer instantly update with new additions, any new additions you add seem to be recognised after a reboot and added to some form of cached vendor data.

 

I'm actually a big fan of this idea :)
