Getting Stuck on Waiting for Character Create

For some reason the past couple of days the server will have periods where the players aren't able to connect. It will be fine for a while, but then we'll have an hour where whenever someone tries to get in it just hangs on "Waiting for Character to Create."

 

I've tried clearing out the player_login info, and cleaning character data, even restarting the server but it doesn't help. 

 

Here's what the report shows when they try to join...

Any idea what I might be able to do to fix this?

What server host are you using? 

 

Is it possible that the DB server has issues being connected to, or it looses connection with the game server at times?

I use Vert hosting. It's possible it's a connection issue I guess, but it's very inconsistent. I mean, it's doing it now, but only to 50% of the people. Some people get in fine, others it just gives that "nil player object attempting PV" thing and they're unable to join. Those people effected will continue having the same problem for about an hour before it just mysteriously starts working again. 

 

Also, it seems like periodically people's vehicles are disappearing from their bases lol.

Sounds like you need more events in your bd. Ive found that when the object data table gets alot of items that happens

Thanks :) I'll try adding some more cleanup to the DB.  

 

Removed items aside though, we're still having the unable to connect issue... happens sporadically, but frequently enough to be an annoyance (once or twice a day) where no one is able to connect for like hours, despite restarting the server. All I get are the "nil player object attempting PV" errors, and then eventually, some time later, it just goes back to normal. 

 

The host claims it has nothing to do with them and that "other servers on [my] node are functioning normally." Which is a relief to the other servers on my node I am sure, but is of little help to me lol.
