1.0.5.1 Server doesnt work for me.

Hi friends !

 

Short description:

 

had dayz_epoch server 1.0.4.2 running von wine 1.6.2 on debian lenny. worked fine.

 

tryed the 1.0.4.2 dayz_epoch linux server. works good but support sucks.

 

switched back to wine / lenny with epoch 1.0.5.1. but i die trying to get connected to the server.

 

Server running, im connecting with dayz_commander, when i spawn there is only this text "The server is running incorrect version of blah blah blah FU". nothing else happens.

 

server is vanilla at the moment, im running server.exe version 112555. Tryed also other versions.

 

yes i also installed everything from Readme.txt and changed my HiveExt.ini.

 

Is there something that changed in the way of installation? 

 

Just get the files from Arma II & Arma II OA to your server, copy all files from Arma II folder to OA folder, install OA patch 112555 so Expansion/Beta folder exists, download Epoch client & server, extract both into OA folder, get configfolder & bat file from "Config Examples", copy them to OA folder, edit HiveExt.ini, start MAP*.bat, connect via dayz_commander, DONE !

 

Am i something missing?

Did you change your HiveExt.dll? Located in your @DayZ_Epoch_Server.

 

If you are renting a server and you cannot see it there you may need to contact the provider and get them to add the new .dll

Ive a root server .

 

I downloaded the 1.0.5.1 Server Folder from the original source... 

 

i think there is the actual HiveExt.dll inside. Do i have to DL a newer file than the one from the actual source?
