How to add player's name to all his mapMarkings?

Hey guys,

 

I just want to make it clear who left which comment on the map...

 

Currently if a player named JohnDoe leaves a map mark with the tag 'home', it is displayed as 'home' without mentioning the player's name.

What I would like to do is to also include the nickname so that in the same example the map mark would be "[JohnDoe]: home".

 

Please can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks in advance!

I would also be very interested in how to do this, we have an issue with players marking other peoples bases on the map.

Thanks for the addition but as you know modifications made and locked in closed source commercialized servers is not accessible to community and in my opinion useless.

I hope someone can tell us how to do it so any interested server admin can add it to their server...

I am sorry, i got it now. that thing was created by Hollow. the gist had that secret icon :3

Where do I put this file ?

any where in your mission file. then call it from your init.sqf

[ToejaM]

Create a .sqf file with that script in.

 

Create a folder called MapMarkings and place the newly created .sqf inside.

 

At the very bottom of your init.sqf add this:

// Map Marker Script
execVM "MapMarkings\MapMarkerTitling.sqf";

Edit as necessary. Great little script!
