  1. Hey guys, I was wanting to ask what server hosts you guys use and how many players at the high points, just to get a general idea. Also, more directed to people using SurvivalServers and GTXGaming; how many players do you have on your servers and what kind of FPS does the server (#monitor logged in as admin) get and the average client get when your server is at it's peak of the day. I personally have used both and been not very satisfied with both so far, and with GTXGaming not updating their servers and other bad customer support issues, I am considering going back to SurvivalServers. SurvivalServers had 30min backups from the last 5 days (250 total backups) and had a faster boot time for the server, meanwhile GTX has a very old style backup system which does one backup per day of the ENTIRE server directory, which I do not find necessary. GTX is more expensive by almost double the cost, which I would suspect means it is more powerful as a server, but I do not know a ton about either server's specs. Only thing I like most about GTX Gaming is that I can choose how often the restarts are, instead of being forced with 2 hour or 4 hour restarts (I like 3 hours). Just a little survey, thanks!
  2. I'm recently back after ending my server about a year ago, i'm fully back now and want to start my server up again. I was with verthosting from the beginning and now they're gone, what are the hosts being used right now? Can anyone help me with this? Friendly greetings, Ext.
  3. SOLVED, I'M STUPID. Had the wrong number after the mission file... :( I'm having this issue with my server not being joinable, 'waiting for host'.   4. Hello! It's been a while since we last time hosted servers. Back in the days we had a dedicated server from Vilayer. Now I see they have increased their prices so I was thinking if you guys could recommend some good hosts. We are looking to run at least 2-3 arma servers and a ts server. Price range 80-160€/month. Also it would be cool if it had some ssd in it. Post your suggestions!
  5. Hey, I just freshly isntalled dayz epoch arma 2 linux server. OS: Ubuntu 4.04. The server runs fine only steam errors (Ive reed that its not related). But when I try to connect to my own server (Witch is standing on vps), it get stuck on "wait for host" it doesnt even show that a user has connected. Help me. Im frustrated...   6. Hi, so this seems to be a recurring issue for me. I have a server that's been running for a few months. I want to switch hosts but keep my database. I've tried two different was of creating backups of the database and both had the same result. When I setup the new server it has a really, really hard time starting up... I constantly get kicked back to the lobby and it takes about 4 tries to get into the game. No RPT errors that I can find. If I put a fresh database in the server it starts up normally first try. The server does not stutter like this normally, just having trouble getting it moved onto a new system for some reason. Anyone know what might be causing this? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Okay, so I'm new here and completely new to scripting I've played about with a server before and managed to get a few things working thanks to the great tutorials about, however our old host wasn't great, daily complete service downtime (both service and their webpage) and frequent server crashes. So we moved to gamingdeluxe, the one click install was brilliant and worked great, but the way they installed the mods has made it more difficult for myself a complete rookie who learned on one server setup to add anything. Literally one word (I"temMap") added to the stock loadout in the .ini file (worked fine on the old service) Stopped both the admin mod and the custom debug monitor loading on server start. and an attempt at disabling R3f Realism mod (one line of code voiding the execution of it added to custom compiles again something I had done previously) resulted in the server completely failing to load So to skip the in depth frustration what im looking for is for someone to help me either by scripting a few things into the server or to provide me with working scripts and instructions on how to install and possibly some correcting in my errors if it doesn't work there will of course be gratitude shown on my part and some compensation for your time and efforts in a monetary form for each working script (after verification) and recognition for your help on our server loading screen. I have given up as real life events have sapped the time I am able to sink into this for a while and would like the server running as intended ASAP The scripts we are currently looking to install range in complexity and include: Bicycle: A deploy-able mountain bike deployable by either rightclicking toolbox or scroll wheel or both that can be repacked after use Disabling Realism: Mainly to disable overburdened (Managed to remove myself) 3 Hourly restarts: Server restarts every 3 hours Custom monitor: A custom debug monitor containing player name, server name, a picture of current equipped weapon or vehicle, player kills, zombie kills, bandit kills, headshots, blood remaining, FPS, Web address,Time until restart. Custom buildings: A few custom buildings/encampments with a crate (weapon,building supplies,vehicle ammo,Medical supplies) in which AI spawn after each reset and the crates refill with custom map markers Random loot crates: Occasionally a random crate of either (weapon,building supplies,vehicle ammo,Medical supplies) Spawns on the map and is marked but No AI guarding (with serverwide notification) Its late and I may have missed some Edit or additions to come Thanks for your time I understand its a long ass post but I felt the more information I gave the better and apologies for typos Benjaaargh
  8. As a former owner running Dedicated DayZ Epoch servers for 7 months, player database shrunk around christmas, 1 month I go, I no longer saw the player amount I needed. Costs where running high and I needed to look for other solutions. I started looking into shared hosting. I looked around the internet for reviews of server providers in EU that had gotten "good" reviews. I ended up with g-portal.de It was €26 for 50 slots non branded server ($36](payed it all, after one day they slap a "monthly fee" for €1,22 which I also payed) Server setup took about 6 hours. And all was fine and dandy, until I started the server again and let the players join. From hour one we got constant desyncs and server went down due to ddos attacks. I contacted their support 1-2 times a day hoping for a fix to their problems, where I would always get a reply "Is it better now?" Server was unplayable, they offered me to move me to another server which I accepted, hoping the problems would fix itself. They didn't. So, kept trying support for some more days. (server was unplayable at this moment) Kept getting reply "Is it better now?" As a last resource after 10 days, I wrote them a email asking them to fix their issues or give me my money back. It took 3 days get an reply. "We don't give refunds and there is no paypal buyer protection on virtual goods" They then closed down my server. Sending me a new invoice for a whole month that I would have to pay to have my server "given" back. I of course disputed this, sending them my paypal transaction id. (Yes, I made a paypal dispute which I lost due to you having no buyer protection when you buy services online) It was time to cut my losses and move on. I found a new host. Now, 25 days after I get threatened with Inkasso/Collection if I don't pay a invoice of €31 which will go after my credit rating in real life.   9. After playing dayz epoch on my private server i decided to change the map to tavi. I installed and did what i did for the regular epoch and when i join it gets stuck at waiting for host.
