  1. Hi guys, I have a DIK code which is supposed to 'call-a-taxi' when pressed. Code is set to INS key for the time being and it is working fine when player is Epoch AH admin. If non-admin, key is not doing anything which appears to be blocked by AH. Is there a workaround for this? Apologies in advance, if it's an apparent configuration option in the latest Epoch. I will check it tomorrow - haven't had a chance yet (been too busy developing on 0.2.x). I really hope there is a way around this hotkey press otherwise will be very displeasing to figure this out AFTER releasing my script :D

How would one go about allowing a custom event handler with the antihack running for ver I have tried the following which resulted in a string of AH logs indicating that specific players were banned. This ban has showed up for all players. Any input is much appreciated in advance. What I tried is shown below: In epoch.altis\epoch_config\Configs\CfgEpochClient.hpp look for line 69 Killed = "_this call EPOCH_fnc_playerDeath;"; and change it to this: Killed = "_this call EPOCH_fnc_playerDeath;HALV_playerDied = [_this select 0,_this select 1];publicVariable 'HALV_playerDied';";
  3. Disregard - the issue was that I was running the script from initPlayerLocal.sqf which has apparently been disabled.
  4. So in my previous post I mentioned that the antihack was blocking rtitletext Ive updated the antihack and this is no longer a problem HOWEVER, the script still isn't running! Im using this carepackage script I execute it in the fn_selfactions.sqf when a player looks at a specific object... with that antihack off it works beautifully. Turn on the antihack, and when you click on the object nothing happens. So Player looks at object Scroll wheel action appears Player clicks scroll wheel action Nothing happens. Works with antihack disabled. Any ideas?
  5. Trying a few new scripts lately that use server wide messages in this format [nil,nil,rTitleText,"MESSAGE GOES HERE!", "PLAIN",6] call RE; This is blocked by the antihack so the server can't see it, and kicks the player. I can't figure out where to remove this function from the antihack

Hello Devs, I did some search before posting this also checked the rolling changelog but I couldn't find an answer to a specific question about the changes (or lack there of) to Epoch Anti Hack in the upcoming version. In the current version: If I understand correctly, a server owner has to disable Epoch Anti Hack if he wants x, y or z script that does 'abnormal' things on the server such as towing cars, giving taxi rides to players etc. Lack of ability to use addAction on players is also related I think. In the next version: Are we going to be able to whitelist scripts so that we can keep AH and still have the additional features we would like to see on our servers? Thanks for the continuous great work BTW - big fan of that changelog!

  8. So, since CBA_A3 is now possible to run, I've become interested in trying to make ACRE2 work on a test server and possibly on our official server in the future. ACRE2 obviously has a bunch of lootable items (radios) that would conflict with Epoch, and thus, there are several possible issues making them work together (loot tables not being editable currently for example), but I am sure there are a few people out there who like ACRE2 as well and would like to make it work. If you do not know what ACRE2 is, it's basically a remade version of ACRE1, essentially it simulates real-life radios the same way that ballistics in ARMA3 simulates real-life guns.   9. So infiSTAR antihack is preventing regular players from giving eachother coins. When they try to give eachother coins they receive "You can only give money to a player" Ive tried whitelisting the following dialogues but so far no joy 14000,14001,14003 Here is the block of code that handles this function. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

  13. Hey guys, Lots of my players are describing to me that their inventory closes every time they try to access it, but works eventually. They said its with virtually anything, trying to loot, look into their bag, buy and sell form a trader. They describe it as it just closes and they have to try and access it a few more times to get it to work. Now this hasn't happened to me or my admin at all, but all other players are having this issue. I'm using infiSTAR, so this leads me to believe it has something to do with the antihack? I know this doesn't keep players from playing, but I can understand their frustration with this and I imagine it can be quite annoying. Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know of a fix? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

  15. Hello! Recently I have started a DayZ Epoch server, and installed an admin tool along with some other mods. They worked perfectly fine on Chernarus, and all was well. However now that I have switched over to DayZ Epoch Taviana, the text i'm supposed to replace in the server.pbo is not in there anymore, thus not allowing me to access my admin menu.   16. We currently had a friendly player hack our server and describe how our current version of anti hack is becoming very easy to get around. So my question to the community is what is the best anti hack out right now or one that has the fewest known back doors. If anyone knows what the top ranked servers use I'd also be interested in knowing that info. Thanks for the time!
  17. Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me out. As far as i know dynamic weather is a part of Epoch, but it isn't working on my server. Now i found this thread: http://dayzepoch.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2973-dynamic-weather-and-heli-crashes/?hl=%2Bdynamic+%2Bweather I too have infistar.de antihack software, and in the thread is says that when disabling it from the antihack, the dynamic weather should work again. Sadly enough, i have no access to these files as i have a cheap version of the antihack through dayzah.com / vilayer. Is there any other way around this? Or is my server doomed to have a clear sky for eternity :D
